Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 54 LAUNCHED

Another great episode, thanks chaps. The Palitoy discussion was a real treat, I would have loved to have gone but to be able to listen to the whole thing really made up for it. There were some great points that came out of the discussion, and some really good questions asked. It's lovely to hear tha...

Re: A very old newspaper article I’ve been meaning to post

Personally I’d pay about £25 for one of these, if another came up.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

The first 12 look so good on that display stand, lovely set.

I’ve had a few new arrivals today, a complete set of British ESB cinema lobby cards from eBay, and 4 more Westbrook birthday cards and an HCF Sketch Pad from Toys of Tatooine on Facebook.

That's fantastic, what a find! I love anything like this, from the days before and around the film's release in Britain. Congrats!

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Cheers guys, this one’s been on my wants list for many years. I love the Dairylea range, I had them as a kid and sent off for the big transfer pack, but I didn’t keep any from those days. I know it’s only an old cardboard box but I’m just as excited by it as if it was a new 12 back!

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Major collecting goal achieved today! It may be just a tatty cheese spread container, but I’ve been after an ESB Dairylea box for sooooo long. Thank you Sublevel Studios I love it! :D

Cheers guys. Poncho, I’ve seen a photo of your carded key rings, that’s a fantastic item. I’m pleased just to have finally found a loose set!

Re: Rocket Firing Boba Fett

It’s a grail piece alright, but does anyone else think it looks a bit crap mounted in acrylic alongside the COA? If I owned a piece like that I might well have it cased, but I would want attention focussed on the figure, not the giant piece of paper alongside.

That’s what is being suggested, yes - but Matt has said that more research is needed to confirm how the process worked.

Re: Palitoy Prototypes!

This is an awesome find, for those not on FB I’m copying some of the info provided by Matt Fox (BonsaiTreeEnt on here) - these finds are being displayed at his exhibition May The Toys Be With You in Leicester. The video confirms that these are Kenner produced hard copies which were sent to Palitoy, ...

Re: Kenner boxes in the uk

My childhood AT-AT was in a Kenner box with all Kenner US contents. I think it was reasonably common for Kenner toys to be sold here, perhaps when there was understock of the Palitoy versions. In the Jedi era a lot of Kenner product found its way here - some items, like the Ewok Glider and Ewok Cata...

Re: SWF at Echo Live - add names here - 20th Oct, Redditch.

I had a brilluant day at my first Echo Live, very pleased with my purchases but the highlight was the chance to chat with so many great people - lovely to meet some new faces from the forum. Thanks especially to David for the Leia, a very special figure for me. Next up Farthest From, can’t wait!
