Re: Risks in Showcasing your Collection?

I think as long as you don't freely advertise your address and location you'll be okay. It would also be prudent to make sure you don't leave any clues in the pictures that might give your address away. Its also a good idea to take photos fully-clothed, in case you accidentally capture a reflection...

Re: More flippers than collectors?

To answer question though. How can anyone know if there are more flippers than collectors? Stuff sells for whatever people are willing to pay. A lot of dealers I used to see at conventions had the same stuff on sale year after year due to their exorbitant prices.

Re: More flippers than collectors?

You could be right. I see buying as a game, I have my strategy to get what I want in my collection. If I see something cheap and I have the money. I will buy it and sometimes I will flip it, but not always. I do it to increase my spending money and to add to my collection. But it's not something I d...

Re: Ever get something better than you thought you had?

About 10 years ago I bid on a MOC ROTJ Gamorrean guard on ebay. It was listed as Kenner 65 back (omitting the most important detail). I won the auction and paid £13 inc postage. I got the item, wasn't particularly impressed with it, put it in storage and forgot I had it. Fast forward to the present ...

Re: Preaching Nonsense

Some people don't half talk a load of fanny.

I'd like to say that collectors aren't stupid. However, it would seem that the intelligent ones these days are in the minority.

Re: logray macau question

Definitely hard plastic. Nothing rubbery about any of them including the Hong Kong versions.

Re: logray macau question

I don't know the answer to your question but hopefully this might help: I just went weighed 5 x different Logray figures (after reading this) without accessories. I had them to hand, so it wasn't any trouble. 2 x Hong Kong 3 x Macau All of them weighed between 19 and 20 grams. My digital scales are ...

What did everyone have in their childhood collection?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, as I am quite new here. But just wondering what everyone had in their childhood collection? I'll go first: Figures: Hoth Rebel Soldier Ree Yees Squidhead Prune face Snowtrooper At At pilot Darth Vader Luke Skywalker (Bespin) Weequay Gamorrean Guard R5-D4 L...

Re: Collection or Obsession?

A collection is healthy an obsession is not.

There is always that part of us that knows when something isn't right.

Re: Where next?

You're in a similar situation to me. I collected almost all of the first 77, I've got about 3 left to get. I don't really like collecting MOC, I constantly worry about looking after them and get little enjoyment from them so that particular collection is fairly small. And I'm not that interested in ...

19" Rogue One Death Trooper - worth getting?

As the title says is the 19" Rogue One Death Trooper worth getting? They're £11.39 on Amazon at the minute. I really like the film and the figure looks cool from the pics I've seen.
