Re: Watch out: A new eBay scam

It's interesting to see a scam message that starts with "hi mate" instead of "biggest greetings from King Xulu of Nigeria!" which had made spotting scams fairly easy in the past. Oh shit! You mean King Xulu isn't legit? I'd best check my bank balance. Thanks for the heads up, Si...

Re: Vintage Stormtrooper Figure

I think Bagy3 was simply asking whether there is more value/prestige in AFA over UK and whether 75% is a strong enough grade to invest? Rather this than a debate about grading?! I think what he was asking is if any grading company, or the practice of grading has any affect on the value of an item b...

Re: Vintage Stormtrooper Figure

You will get a very wide range of opinions on this one, mate. There is a plethora of discussion on grading on this forum and others. It's quite common amongst new collectors to think they need graded items full stop and then also that they must be of a certain high grade to bother with. If you want ...

Pali 65 back Han Hoth

Thinking of letting this guy go. Tracker doesn't have a great deal on info on this one in particular, so looking for some ideas on value. He's near perfect with a slight crease at the top and the bubble would be perfect if it weren't for a tiny crack on the bottom of the bubble, between the stems. C...

Re: Need help identifying a bespin blaster

It's hard to tell from the pics, but it looks to have some flashing around the edge. This isn't necessarily an indication of being a repro. Some originals can have this. Does it float?

Re: Latest Acquisitions

My latest acquisition was this stunning A-wing pilot!... The best at all is what I paid for it: It was last Saturday, I went for a walk around the charity shops looking for some books. Then I saw a box with lots of figures and then...I spot it!! I ´ve asked how much..then, I could not believe my ea...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Sometimes you find the goods in the most unlikely places, like this 1977 Scandecor licenced poster at a 1940s themed country fair this weekend. Not in the best of nick, but for £7 I'll take it. I believe these can go for over £150-£200 in mint condition. And I kinda like that it tells a story, with ...

Re: stumbling on special items

I've never uncovered any prototype level stuff, but it always give me a bit of a buzz when I find one or two original blasters rattling around inside a broken, beaten Snowspeeder or AT-AT. And also managed to find a couple of rare figure variants in job lots a few times.

Re: Bubble Question...

They aren't Toy Tonis. They came from a recent ex-shop stock find I believe.

Re: Jon Favreau’s live action Star Wars TV

Sounds good. Some on-screen exploration of the post Battle Of Endor period would be good. The remnants of the Empire etc. Wonder if they will tie in with any of the Battlefront II content and characters. I'd really like to see some more OT era content too though. One reason I loved Rogue One so much...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story Solo SPOILERS First Reactions

After feeling a little bit 'once bitten' after TLJ I really, really hope it is good. Setting aside the whole 'he's not Harrison' argument I'm hoping for a good romp of a heist western with a Star Wars feel. I will be waiting for the reaction from the average Star Wars fan to get a more general conse...

Interesting stuff, Edd. As a non-Facebook user it's good to hear that the forum is still holding it's own.
