Re: CASSIAN ANDOR LIVE-ACTION SERIES ANNOUNCED

I hope it has plenty of K-2SO's trademark sarcasm. :D But I wish Lucasfilm would stop chopping and changing. They'll probably cancel this in a few months before they announce the R5-D4 series...which they will then cancel a further 5 months down the line in favour of the Hoth probot droid spin off m...

Special Buy Stickered Items

Looking for loose boxed items or just the boxes with 'Special Buy' stickers. Specifically looking for a stickered Speeder Bike box at the moment but interested in what you might have.

Cheers

Re: paugildin-6 at it again

Looks like he's added Bespin blasters to his repertoire too. From the pics of the Endor blaster I can see a couple of tells already that make it differ from an original. Sadly we're talking differences under a magnifying glass. These will undoubtedly catch out a lot of people unless closely compared...

Re: Uzay figures

If they are genuine then it's not odd that he wants to travel to collect them, given their rarity and current market values. Original carded Uzay's are much more fragile than the Palitoy and Kenner counterparts and I certainly wouldn't risk having them posted. So I wouldn't be wary because of that. ...

That's great and all, but what about those who only collect 95 grades.

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 53 LAUNCHED

One thing I think is really important is to have other interests. I have three main hobbies, and alternating between them gives me a break and stops me from burning out on one. I often see people on Facebook who from their profiles seem to be so obsessed with Star Wars that no wonder they find it o...

You think it has put people off? It definitely got a marmite reception, TFA was much more widely praised.

I think it definitely may have curbed nostalgic enthusiasm for many who got back into collecting as a result of TFA.

Re: Palitoy Prototypes!

Just seen this...frickin amazing find!! I hope there will be other chances to see these though.

I think that sculpt of Luke Jedi, the head anyway, looks better than the production version.

Re: How does collecting compare to a year ago?

I only created a Facebook account within the last year purely for the collecting groups and to keep in the loop with other collectors. I've never liked Facebook and how invasive it can be, not to mention the cliquiness that follows a lot of the groups. Which is why I prefer the forum by far. To me i...

Another cracker, guys. Sad to hear that Simon won't a regular anymore. Great interview with Dave! The shop in Farnham he mentions was called Childhood memories. I used to go there in the 90s too. Most of my loose collection back then came from there.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Glad you like her Rob. Been a while since I posted up here, so there’s a few bits from the last couple of months. All were bargains (maybe not Leia Bespin, but it was a bundle deal so you take the rough with the smooth!) and have come from eBay (Dengar), Aston’s (DSD), Vectis (3PO), Echo Live (LXW)...

Admiral Ackbar Mailers

I recently picked up an Admiral Ackbar mailer flyer with a view to putting a mailer display together, but until I did I didn't know there were both 'Revenge' and 'Return Of The Jedi' printed flyers made. From what I can find the 'Revenge' flyer seems to be correct for the Kenner Mailer with an ESB-c...

Re: Another utter Arsehole

I saw this last night also. My reaction was somewhat the same. I don't care how common a carded item is, I despair at people opening orignal items. His reply "i dont understand the loss, there are thousands of these around..." is typically short sighted. That was once the case of certain M...

Re: Restoring Stormtroopers

They will often have some of the yellow removed, but they never truly turn white again. And in most cases the limbs start to turn a pinkish colour. So it's a really a waste of time if your goal is to turn back the signs of ageing. I stay well clear of any stormtroopers, biker scouts etc that have pi...
