Re: Can't believe what some people pay for recards

Going back years I made my mate a yoda orange snake moc out of a card printed on desktop printer, replete with permanent marker colouring in to get the black bits right. It was a labour of love in a bromance way when a mint complete yoda was a tenner. It looked pants but was appreciated. I'm conside...

Re: Patience Pays Off - The Ebay Good News Bargain Thread

I put this on the new additions thread bit thought it worth sticking in here too, specially seeing how I forgot to post pics or a link in the other one! Scout Walker and falcon both in nice condition but missing some parts for £5.50.

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Incomplete falcon and scout walker, both very clean and no yellowing at all. Meh you say, but I got them for my three year old to play with and I'm well pleased with them. Meh you say again, but the price I got the pair for was a daft £5.50 off eBay, so fifteen quid posted. The listing ended at 6am ...

Re: Modern MOC 'investing'

I used my student loan and new found eBay site about twenty years ago to buy the full ep1 figure set for £250. I had a vague knowledge of vintage as I bought 100 loose figs for about 100 quid at the same time. I put together close to a full episode 1 collection which stayed in my loft until a couple...

Re: As described or not?

I'm in a similar situation, got a lot that was not really as described. I've had a chat with a couple of people, hoping to get a resolution on Monday. I'd recommend contacting them, they are friendly and the guy I spoke to on Friday is a collector himself so they are understanding, although certainl...

No, it's a standard punch on the card, just perspective and a bit of wear on the punch making it look like that :)

Re: Vintage SW is still affordable - £50 or less MOCs latest acquisitions

I got a cheeky logray for £21, sadly it arrived with a cracked bubble after being damaged in transit. Also got a nice 8D8 trilogo for just over £40. This thread keeps me motivated to hunt for bargains! WP_20170624_09_48_25_Pro.jpg WP_20170624_09_48_09_Pro.jpg WP_20170615_21_21_12_Pro.jpg WP_20170615...

Re: Auction Purchase - Reseal?

To be fair I was ok with what I'd bid, but if the Vader isn't factory sealed then ouch basically.

Re: Auction Purchase - Reseal?

Thanks for the input everyone it's really appreciated. Edd/spoons, that was my reckoning when I put my bid in. The amount I bid was based on the Vader and the left-most Ackbar being factory sealed, I don't think the description is as helpful as it is on other lots. I'll send them an email, see where...
