Re: WTF IS THIS?

I'm trying to see how Chewie is held in place. I hope he hasn't used superglue on the feet and Fucked up another figure. I can see sellotape holding his Wookiee bowcaster in place. Oh shit yeah, plus it's one of those basic display cases you can grab off ebay with the sliding back, there's no way t...

Re: WTF IS THIS?

That looks fake as fuck, the grading sticker any old Joe can print out and laminate themselves, and that hologram sticker mentions nothing to do with this apparent German grading company, and it's precisely just like one of your typical generic ebay hologram stickers that anyone can buy, and all it ...

Re: Investor or Collector?

There was something on the radio I heard a few months back about investments I cant remember all of it but it was to do with investing in the 70s, some people invested in shares or say an equivalent to an isa in a bank or something else obviously people who had, did make profit but the biggest prof...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

Cool Play-Doh set, I have fond memories of bringing back a set of fresh tubs of Play-Doh from Toys R Us in the 80's, I used to love the smell of Play-Doh! :D

If I knew there were Star Wars sets back then i'd have been all over it.

Re: Vintage v Modern Action Figures - Camp Lando

I can't stand anything modern, some figures at first glance can make me think "hmm looks kinda alright", but that's only when the sculpt looks nice and it's a figure with a helmet or an alien/monster face, anything with a familiar human characters face looks awful. And whether I think it l...

Re: For fun

Those Lego frames are neat.

This one ain't mine it's my brother's, he bought a glass liquor bottle shaped as a Stormtrooper head which came in a cool black box with a metallic/holographic Stormtrooper helmet outline on it, he cut it out and whacked it in the frame. :)

Re: Modern MOC 'investing'

Another quick thought though- I have POTF2 Freeze Frame figures with £25 and £30 stickers. If you look at Model Mart, there are figure listings where POTF2 was going for more than ROTJ and Trilogo. There was such an appitite for new figures as well as flipping. Its hard for collectors who weren't e...

Re: Modern MOC 'investing'

Also there was no hunt, he just went to TRU and bought them. That didn't appeal to me, I loved the thrill of going to my local vintage store having no idea what would be in stock that week. Good times. I actually really miss those days, back in mid 2002 when I first got into collecting vintage I us...

A bit surprising for me to see so many people liking / collecting POTF2, I really wasn't expecting that.
