Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 20, 2018, Part 1/2

Awesome info Jeremy. Thanks for sharing, especially the closeup buckle detailing. I just collect the major Kenner variants at the moment so don’t have all the thin and fat heads, fastened, unfastened and no buckle trousers round the ankles variants  though I do also have a PBP variant (on the r...

Re: Gotta love this description

I’m pretty sure this seller knows what he’s selling. I’ve seen him sell PBP variants and he certainly knows his rarer Kenner variants like White Fur Chief Chirpa, Short V Power Droid, No Coo ERG. I used to buy from him, he’s quite a nice guy. It’s just a shame he sells a lot of Repro as well now.

I only saw the Leia Bespin at first and wondered what all the fuss was about... and then I saw the rest

Re: Wtb Early bird mailer box

Good luck with your search. I’ve been thinking what my holy grail piece would be and I think the Early Bird Kit ticks all the boxes for me, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford one.

Re: Need help identifying a bespin blaster

V2 Bespin Blaster from the TIG website, just has a bit more flashing than other examples. There’s no known repros on the market that mimic the Bespin blaster that well IMO.

Re: Yoda Focus up for sale

Again definitely sorry to hear you’ve decided to sell the Yoda stuff. I’ve been umming and ahhing about what character to focus on (or even if I wanted to focus) but think I’ve settled on the little guy, so would be interested in some of the slightly harder to come by vintage loose and any MOCs.

Re: SWFUK PODCAST - Episode 5 LAUNCHED

But the best bit about it has to be listening to it in retrospect with the benefit of hindsight, to see how incredibly wrong you all were (with the exception of Pete) about the state of the market and its inevitable crash... That would be really fun/interesting to listen to some old market watch se...

Re: being organised.....

I have a spread sheet similar to Edd. I’ve also just started using the portfolio section of the Star Wars Tracker app. It enables me to: - add photos (which can help as proof for insurance claims as you can add as many as you like including a sheet with your name and date next to figure, or even a p...

Re: SWFUK PODCAST - Episode 5 LAUNCHED

Just started listening to all the old podcasts. Awesome. It’s great to witness the journey you guys have been on and to see all the improvements... the increase in commaradery, the exponential growth in knowledge and the fine tuning of the podcast delivery. The first few episodes were really good bu...

Re: Why do most SW fans say ESB is the best film in the OT?

If pushed I would probably say ESB is my favourite, but that doesn't mean I think the other two (yes there are only three Star Wars films) are inferior. All three are masterpieces, and very different. ESB has the best sabre fight IMO - not the most technical, but that old saying "less is more....

Re: What did everyone have in their childhood collection?

Wow, I’m amazed so many people can remember so vividly, my memory is shot to pieces. I remember having the usual suspects like Luke, DV, Han, Chewie... I have photos of me opening a Falcon and Imperial Troop Transporter one Christmas. My only vivid memories of a SW childhood were: 1) receiving...
