Wow superb boxed examples Jeremy and Andy. Lovely grey example Lars... don’t see so many of them in collections.

Re: Coalville Palitoy Exhibition

Great write up Richard. Sounds like the event was a great success with so much wonderful info snippets. Would of loved to see James’ face when his DSC DB Figure was tossed back to him (especially if it was one of the brittle plastic variants)

Re: Gray Hoth Trooper facts and not fiction

I should just clarify my earlier statement that the discussion was started by Sergio Sierra referencing Lee Martin (and not containing contributions from Lee), but also included responses from James Gurney, Javi Ruilopez, Marco Jay and Enric Rovira, all of whom own an example / examples of the DSC D...

Re: Gray Hoth Trooper facts and not fiction

I'm kind of out of touch on variants these days but are we saying the Disco boots DSC is Palitoy now? And surely people aren't paying £5k for these now are they? Having followed a recent discussion on Echo Vintage Variants between we'll know variant collectors Sergio Sierra, Lee Martin and James Gu...

Re: paugildin-6 at it again

Looks like he's added Bespin blasters to his repertoire too. From the pics of the Endor blaster I can see a couple of tells already that make it differ from an original. Sadly we're talking differences under a magnifying glass. These will undoubtedly catch out a lot of people unless closely compare...

Re: Rocket Firing Boba Fett

It’s a grail piece alright, but does anyone else think it looks a bit crap mounted in acrylic alongside the COA? If I owned a piece like that I might well have it cased, but I would want attention focussed on the figure, not the giant piece of paper alongside. If I owned a RFF I’d want to be able t...

Re: Rocket Firing Boba Fett

Following this on the 12 Back group, sounds like a number of people think $185K is a reasonable amount for this one in this condition. And to think you could of bought one for a tenth of the price 10 years ago. That’s one heck of a rate of interest return. One day we might all be sayin*remem...

Re: THE VINTAGE REBELLION : Episode 53 LAUNCHED

Can’t believe you hadn’t heard of the Disney Classic Condorman featuring Michael Crawford, Stu. it was a firm favourite growing up, but admit it doesn’t hold up all that well, though the Prognoviach Chase was stylish and Natalia “the bear” is still hot

Re: If anyone still needs convincing where the bargains are.......

So it sounds like people have differing opinion / experiences using different selling platforms. Both FB and ebay have good and bad deals. I think browsing both platforms is the sensible option. Exactly. There is no right place to buy, you need to look everywhere for good deals (including real life...

Mine is a tale of woe. Bought this sealed boxed Jabba for around £35 in 2006, sold it for the same a couple of years later - what would it cost now

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 43, 2018, Part 1/2

I love this set. It’s the only playset I currently own. You’ve got to have Jabba in your collection. He’s an awesome villain, and Jedi is a great movie because of the Jabba’s Palace scenes. Some nice sets guys. Here’s mine. Like Jeremy I seem to have picked up the tri logo instructions instead of th...

Re: How does collecting compare to a year ago?

I do occasionally take a peak in certain groups, but I find it very frustrating... they still refer to eBay as "evilbay" which really annoys me, especially as eBay prices are generally better than the group in question. I often wonder if this is a ploy. When you actually look into it load...
