Re: How does collecting compare to a year ago?

I’m on eBay quite a bit and I would say prices on loose are coming down a fair bit from a peak around about May of last year (unsurprisingly around the 40 year anniversary hype and on the crest of a wave following The Force Awakens and Rogue 1). For example Leia Organa sells for around £70 now where...

Re: Richard Joins Jedinews and Fantha Tracks

Great info on the land of the Jawas playset. I did not know about the stark differences between the Kenner and Palitoy versions of this playset. Have no idea why I haven’t clicked on these links before but I won’t be making that mistake again Rich. Great stuff :D

Re: Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

I used to be so frugal until PayPal came around. Even when eBay was first around the process of writing and sending a cheque made me think twice about spending large amounts. Now it’s at a click of a button and gone before you’ve even had a chance to think twice. Also you’d never hand over vast amou...

Re: Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

I feel one of the issues for me here is the ease in which I can purchase something. Money gets paid into my account and I can instantly hand over that money for something at the touch of a button, and it is likely that item can be in my collection in two days. I wonder if it would make a difference ...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 40, 2018, Part 2/2

That’s also a great piece of early Star Wars history, that there Lars. I was trying to rack my brains as to why I love the first 12 so much, the original Star Wars logo and many of the items associated with the first wave of releases, despite being too young to have bought the items in the shops fir...

Re: Were you a "one toy line" kid?

I moved from Star Wars to Transformers, He-man and M.A.S.K. Later I got into Micro Machines and Hornby. One of my favourite lines was TCR (Total Control Racing) which was an alternative to Scaletrix. My biggest childhood regret was selling my original run of Transformers’ comics. I never got into th...

Re: Star Wars to Action Force

I’m like Edd. I moved from Star Wars to Transformers, He-man and M.A.S.K. but can’t for the life of me remember the exact order. My best mate had Action Force though so I did play with it.

BTW if you’re not sending signed always ask for proof of postage, otherwise you have no leg to stand on with Royal Mail.

Re: Caution and Advice with buyer andrejo_36

Being honest I open a not received case the day after eBay says I should have the item, not to get free stuff but to cover my own arse if the seller doesn’t post it. As soon as I receive the item I close the case and leave positive feedback. Really Carl? That impatient?  I’ll try to ex...

I wish. Think this currently tops my wanted list. I don’t think I can afford to ever own it, but stop short of calling it a grail piece as it isn’t unobtainable. Looking forward to seeing if any of you have it in your collection.
