Re: The Usual 'How Not To Post A Carded Figure' Moan

I certainly won't shoot you down; you're entitled to your opinion just as much as I am :-) However, I think you may have misunderstood one point, and that regards double-walled cardboard boxes. That's not the same thing as double-boxing, which is indeed packing your item in one cardboard box, and t...

Re: The Usual 'How Not To Post A Carded Figure' Moan

One last point about the initial questions you ask about the packaging before bidding; never assume anything! Just because the postage charge is high, low or middling means absolutely nothing! Unless the auction very clearly states how the item will be packaged for posting (and quite frankly, why w...

Re: The Usual 'How Not To Post A Carded Figure' Moan

I'm surprised it survived so well in just a jiffy bag! Worth a try to message the seller to see if you can get a reduction for the damage, especially as you requested it be packed well?

Re: Time Wasters!

There are a lot of people with the attention span of a goldfish out there, if a deal isn't done instantly then chances are it won't get done. Everything has to be instant or they go tripping off elsewhere. Throw away world we live in. Think you've hit the nail on the head there, jedisearcher. They ...

Thanks for the replies, ScruffyLookingNH and Darth Vader :), gives me some idea of price. A load more pics here. Valuation request on Death Star Shop Display from 1997

Hi, I have a large 3D effect shop display of the Death Star from the Walkers Pepsi Star Wars Trilogy promotion of 1997. It is basically 2 x large circles which slot together to give the 3D effect. It seems to be a foam-like inner , covered on both sides with printed card or paper. Think it is about ...

Re: First ever toys as a collector?

First carded figure was a ROTJ Prune Face 77 back from eBay in 2003. Sold most of my MOCs off but still got that one. . I had a spare MOC Prune Face which I sold on Ebay, possibly around that time. Would be a brilliant coincidence if it was the one that you bought, ha ha! Haven't got it anymore. So...

Many thanks to everyone who has taken time to put information up, very helpful to all newbies like me. Incidentally, ar...
