Re: Opening "modern" Star Wars carded figures

I asked something similar on another post, but Richard_H stated something that feeds into here:

Re: Opening "modern" Star Wars carded figures

Great replies so far. The feeling I perceive is its accepted in general then? I dont collect them or cherish them but my initial feeling was on the fence after pondering it. It doesnt affect me but like you state, there is a lot out there and I have never witnessed backlash on such a topic, but I as...

Opening "modern" Star Wars carded figures

Here is a question that I have pondered recently (actually first raised in vintage) and would love to hear thoughts on or gauge opinion: When "does" modern actually cease to be modern as we know it (non-vintage)? I suppose I feel its post Power of the Force original line (last 17). However...

Re: Another utter Arsehole

Not that I am in support of this, but generally curious about other SW lines. Some open "Modern" figures to display due to size of packaging, etc. How far back does Modern relate to? I only ask as ethically, as would green / red POTF classed as modern now or near vintage? Within the forum ...

Re: Latest Modern Acquisitions

Just picked this up from Walmart today. Finn was on sale for $2.50. Apack...your having a great run mate. That Finn was cheap...pricing mistake? This is the most new stuff I’ve found for a while. I actually surprised the Finn wasn’t on sale cheaper before. Lately they’ve been $4. Black series...

Re: How does collecting compare to a year ago?

A lot has gone via fb groups as not even a hint of interest here. Yes I'm afraid that although visitor numbers and activity on the forum hasn't been too badly affected by FB, the sales forum definitely has. I think it is just the ease of posting stuff on Facebook that is attractive, especially how ...

Re: How does collecting compare to a year ago?

The variant thing is certainly on the wane IMO. Not sure why that is but prices have reached a plateau and in some cases dropped. I'm finding the Palitoy Collectors page really busy ATM, with loads of new members join in recent weeks - think we're at 1300 now. And as Poncho says, the Beyond The Toy...

Re: How does collecting compare to a year ago?

In terms of sales common as muck items seem to hang around unless they meet one or more of these criteria: 1. Very well priced 2. Exceptional condition 3. Celebrity seller Agree with lejackel that was also confirmed by "theforceuk". I feel exactly the same way. My 1st anniversary is in De...
