Re: Charity shop find this morning :)

The effort I have to put in now to find bargains hardly seems worth it, so I have just effectively stopped buying. About fifteen years ago I picked up a early bird certificate for £50, I could buy 12 backs for £50-£100 and POTF figures about the same. Mini-rigs boxed were about a tenner, and a lot ...

Re: Charity shop find this morning :)

The main reason for the astronomical postage prices from US sellers is because of the introduction of the Global shipping program (GSP) ebay introduced. A huge number of US sellers signed up to it early on without realising what it meant. This program takes away any flexibility, charges the maximum...

Re: Did potf mocs make it to uk shelves ?

Very true :D I have to add some Buddhist philosophy here, I'm sure it's something Yoda would have agreed with  Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at ...

Re: Mystery of John Kellerman Star Wars Action figures book

I also have to agree. I've never had a book I wore out more than the kellerman. It is still the definitive guide to Kenner cardbacks and variations, albeit out of date and lacking some information. I don't think all the information in it IS available elsewhere, and certainly not all in one place. Th...

Re: Did potf mocs make it to uk shelves ?

I know the question waa about figures but what's the consensus on POTF boxed items appearing here? I'm sure I've read memories of combo packs ( eg Tauntaun / Wampa ) or the body rigs turning up albeit very sparsely. Sorry this doesn’t answer your question, but I’ve never seen a Tauntan/Wampa pack b...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 2, 2018, Part 2/2

Your testing us with this one! Here is my Logray on the card. I think he is the rarest of the Ewoks series, what do you think? The Droids and Ewoks series have become more famous for the unproduced second series figures that were advertised in the Kenner Toy Fair catalog 1986. I think as well becau...

Re: 79bks sold in Australia ?

Cheers for the link that was an interesting read , only one post said they got one from Australia so don’t think that’s enough proof to suggest they originate from down under but I’ll keep researching :) ok, here is another swf link discussing http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=23671 Th...

Re: 79bks sold in Australia ?

Hi This post on rebelscum talks about 79 back rotj cards http://forum.rebelscum.com/showthread.php?t=813967 It includes a post from John Kellerman "In my book, I show only 43 79-Backs that I'm aware of. I'm sure there are more out there but I doubt that all the first 79 characters were produced...

Re: Mystery of John Kellerman Star Wars Action figures book

Why can't it just be put online as an e book or just scan the pages. After all there are still many people that have the book, but no one seems willing to share it. There is a guy that put a 22 minute video on you tube, showing every page, but it is blurry and he races through with a shaky camera. ...

Re: Mystery of John Kellerman Star Wars Action figures book

I also wish John well. I didn't realise of his problems so the post is enlightening. The 2nd edition book came ever so tantalizingly close to being published, it is understandable though why it didn't just make it. Below is a page that gives idea how good it would have been http://retrotoyinfo.co.uk...

Re: Mystery of John Kellerman Star Wars Action figures book

I don't understand given the demand why somebody doesn't just republish the original book somehow I'm not sure the actual demand is as great as the perceived demand... the price is high (as noted above) because its seen as a collectable. The majority of a major publisher's money is made through pap...
