Re: Send away offer paperwork Palitoy/Kenner Parker 1984/85

yes I did a very similar thing sent for the transporter and got the black and white letter back(which I still have) then sent for something else! I also have similar kenner parker Tonka letter after my wing broke on my imperial shuttle lol Is your black and white letter identical to the one I have?...

Re: Send away offer paperwork Palitoy/Kenner Parker 1984/85

Wow - that's a cool piece of history. As a cardback collector nowadays I wish they had never offered stuff for nameplates/pops. Very interesting - thanks for sharing. Totally agree. I would really like my original card backs to have their name plates back. I got the emperor and nien nunb for...

Re: Ewok tri-logo tape on bubble?!

So where does that leave me? Not sure how this tape arrived in two of my childhood cardbacked bubbles, the authenticity of which will now be held in doubt. I'm still 100% that these are the condition I opened them in 1980s so either I landed two specials, or they are very early reseals (not by me). ...

Re: Ewok tri-logo tape on bubble?!

Really interesting thread, guys. I have certainly never seen a taped weapon in a Tri-logo, sealed bubble. I have only been collecting them a few years but it's a well known feature that the weapons aren't taped, as folks have already mentioned. Oracle, welcome to the forum, mate. You've got some lo...

Re: Send away offer paperwork Palitoy/Kenner Parker 1984/85

Out of interest, what motivated you to keep these bits of correspondence? It always amazes me when kids keep things like this. Appreciate there was reason (for a while at least) to keep the letter with the three nameplate voucher but why the second? Lucky you did as I've not seen either the namepla...

Send away offer paperwork Palitoy/Kenner Parker 1984/85

I thought I'd share some paperwork that I have that shows a bit of history for Palitoy and Kenner Parker in the UK, 1984 -1985. There were various send-away offers at the time (1984) and you can see that I cut out three names from cardbacks and sent off £2.99 for a Hoth Wampa. Disappointingly I got ...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 5, 2018, Part 1/2

I was careful - my first figure was chewed by the dog and I remember being so upset I took great care of all the rest. I'm slowly archiving/photographing my collection and will hopefully get to share a few favourites when they come up on Toy of the Week! If they are all in that condition then we wi...

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 5, 2018, Part 1/2

That a childhood figure! Wow, you certainly were careful and looked after it and the cardback well. Lots of lovley Amanamn’s on here, still looking for a nice MOC! I was careful - my first figure was chewed by the dog and I remember being so upset I took great care of all the rest. I'm slowly archi...

This Han in Trench Coat (ROTJ 77 back) could have been done a bit better.

Re: Star Wars Toy of the Week, Week 5, 2018, Part 1/2

Two views of my Amanaman, minty loose and back in the bubble. Bubble is still attached to card. I remember hunting the Tesco bargain bin for this, and I think that's why the bubble is a bit battered in the corners. The bend on the staff was like that from day 1. To me it was an interesting figure (b...

Re: Ewok tri-logo tape on bubble?!

In support of Trilogo taped weapons, I have two examples: Teebo and Han Solo. Both have clear tape to the right hand side of the bubble, when viewed face on. I can state that these are 100% original figures, bubbles, weapons and tape! Both figures have been in my personal childhood toys and collecti...

Just to add to the mix, I have a tri-logo Teebo with taped weapon. I know it's original as it is from my childhood collection.

This is a great solution and your results are fantastic. I'd like to give it a go, are those soft or rigid type top loaders ?
