Re: Ewok combat glider.

:D Yeah, it's got to be up there as the most uninspiring SW toy ever made.
Although there's some numpty on eBay trying to flog one for 70 quid so you never know, they might make a comeback!

Re: Ewok combat glider.

I think I bought mine with a mint box for £12, so I don't think you'll get much for it.
£3 - £5 I reckon.

Re: Facebook sales pros and cons?

The main con is that it clogs up your FB feed. I followed a few groups for a weekk or two, but every other post on my feed was some weaponless beaters for sale or someone asking the value of the door off an AT-ST that they found in their nan's loft

Re: Cardbacks from around the world - which country has the coolest?

Guerre Stellari has a cool Spaghetti Western vibe to it and they look really great in terms of blocking. I love the big Palitoy logos on the SW cords though... I also like Returno Del Jedi but only because it sounds made up like someone in the factory was like "Shit, we have to make some Spanis...

Re: Star Wars: Droids - What's the appeal?

I think once you have a complete run of the 93 or whatever it is I think its natural to look for something to collect next. If it wasn't for the prices I'd buy them. I was the perfect age for the cartoons. Ewoks was an alright run of the mill throwaway cartoon but as a 7/8 year old Droids used to re...

Re: False memories

Sad to admit but when I first discovered the secondary collecting market in earnest it was via a shop/stall called Jabbas Hut in the basement of the Jubilee shopping centre, Brighton (Now Komedia). The owner of the stall was a dealer called Adrian Gumbrell, and although my first Mocs came via car b...

False memories

I just watched that Retroblasting Palitoy Death Star review and I was reminded of the only time I actually saw the thing in real life - I went round some kid's house and he had one under his bed. The funny thing is that I remember it being a full sphere. I can clearly remember thinking that you prob...

Re: Lifting Bubble

Yeah I'm sure some people frown on resealing but I'm not going to sell it on (it cost less than twenty quid anyway). There are plenty of reseals sold on here, and lots of people have them in their collections and I think they're widely regarded as a good opportunity for people to get their hands on ...

Lifting Bubble

I've never really been interested in MOCs but last year I couldn't resist a bargain and picked one up, good nick, nice and cheap and I was pleased with it. Since it looked nice on the shelf I thought I might get a few more but being a rather prudent chap (boring bastard) I thought I'd use the first ...

Re: Why was Grand Moff Tarkin excluded from the original run?

I don't think there's much mystery. He was far too boring to make the cut of the first 21, and a doesn't appear in ESB or ROTJ so he couldn't be released in those waves. If POTF had carried on we would have seen him, but the line was axed before he made the list.

Re: The Vintage Rebellion Podcast : Episode 14 LAUNCHED

Great podcast, I can see now the benefit of making it more of an independent thing. I particularly liked the idea of expanding the latest acquisitions section to include essentially the whole world! That's a great idea as it alerts SWF users to stuff they may not have seen outside the forum (I for o...
