Re: How does collecting compare to a year ago?

I don't go on there much, have a quick flick through a few groups every couple of days. Occasionally save/watch something. I can't deal with the shitty facebook interface of not showing me every post or the most recent one etc. And it's still all mostly overpriced in my opinion. Was just on there be...

Re: Looking for info on Palitoy Cardback Production

I was watching all those when they were on ebay, I knew they were quite special and unique. And I couldn't believe what they sold for in the end! The Luke and 3P0 ones are very unusual. Cool that they stayed together, nice buy.

Re: SWFUK Secret Santa 2018 Wishlists

W.t.b list below and in signature. http://www.starwarsforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=22406 There’s a few things on there should be within budget. Would love any of the Palitoy cardbacks I need. If not I’d be happy with any of this vintage: Loose 12 inch C-3PO (in any condition). Nice loose/boxe...

Re: Model making thread

There were some amazing modellers at Star Wars Celebration, here's a few photos I took of their awesome work:

Model making thread

I thought it might be good to have a model making thread. Not 1:1 props, small scale models. Either scratch built or kits, of anything, doesn’t have to be Star Wars. The subject was mentioned in another thread and I’ve been thinking about getting a little kit of tools and materials together and havi...

Re: Becoming desensitised to money due to collecting?

I think I got a bit like that several years ago. I had more money then, was actively collecting and buying a lot and if I wanted something then I was getting it. No two ways about it. I think it’s easy as collectors to see an item we want just as the item, not the money it costs. And easily justify ...

Re: Vinyl Cape Jawa

Mate you should have checked this all out before sending it to the graders. It will prob affect the price you'll get if it's the wrong figure and doesn't have a (correct) blaster. As the other guys mentioned they may not grade it at all and collectors may not want it. I wouldn't buy it for that sort...

Re: Power Droid 20 D card back and Bubble?

The pop hole hurts it a lot, without that it's prob worth about 50+. With the hole I'd say more like 20 - 30. It's in lovely condition! Just my opinion

Re: Were you a "one toy line" kid?

Star Wars and Action Man were my favourite toys by far but I also had Hornby trains, Scalextric, Transformers and He Man. I got quite into computers and computer games too by the mid 80’s.
