Re: Gifts - please please stop

Today. Another late present has been opened.

To my horror it is a classic Star Wars mug with 70’s vintage sweets inside. I would have already thrown it in the bin if my bin were not already full !

Re: Gifts - please please stop

The thing that sent me over the edge today was receiving a Rouge One sweatshirt and a stormtrooper wallet via Special Delivery this morning. What the feck is the point in that ? A) it’s too late for Christmas, why post Special Delivery I only live 10 minutes drive away. I have no pressing need to wr...

Re: 20% off ebay purchases today!!

I got 20% off a £200 watch ( paying £160 ) so I think the £75 maximum might not actually apply if you are lucky.

Thanks ever so much for the tip off on this.

Gifts - please please stop

A hard post but seeking views. First off. A gift is a lovely thing. It’s always best to consider that someone cares enough to get something at all - that’s a nice positive thing and above all else should be appreciated. What follows is a first world rant, with a little tongue in cheek. Something has...

Re: Some things i learnt from trying to sell on gumtree

Is the internet Face Book or is Face Book the internet ? I’ve never been on it. Never wanted to be on it. Don’t want to find myself on it just to maintain my hobby. Probably silly but there you go. My problem with it is not that I don’t want to buy / sell in a active market. I just don’t want give t...

Re: Some things i learnt from trying to sell on gumtree

There is one place where I personally have sold and purchased with no problems at all..... This forum :D It’s been a gem over a few years now. Got bits i’d never have through other channels. Sold bits to others who I know will value what they purchased more than just money. The problem is that the s...

Re: The Last Jedi - **SPOILERS THREAD**

Seen it twice now. Today was better than first viewing ( was tired at 00:01 ) I liked a lot of the film, but why do they keep killing off the hero’s of the original Trilogy? The narrative that they are old and should die anyway is bollocks. Life is rarely so based on age ! I hated that they killed H...

Re: SPOILER FREE Reviews/Reaction to TLJ

I watched it through tired eyes ( tired for the day. Tired at 41years old ) was not overly impressed. A good film. But that’s all I felt. A couple of moments which were absolutely fantastic though.

Going again on Saturday so will hopefully get more out of second viewing

Re: Figure Fixing - Arm.....

It canbe tricky, but it is possible. I did it recently in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LsrVl4hpsw cheers How cool. I watched that video when trying to work out how to fix my figure. The Bespin Head works so well with the Han body.....specific to the arms. Was it tricky to put them b...

Figure Fixing - Arm.....

Won’t bore you with the details.

I have 1 x Rebel Commander. 1 x Arm out of socket.

How the hell do I get the peg back in the hole ?

There must be a way...but at the moment hole is small...peg is large ( comical I know )

Restoration advice welcomed

Re: High res images of card backs

Have a search on eBay for cut bubble card backs. You will find a few good sellers ( Forest Cutter being one ) At a push you can get a cut bubble card back and an New adhesive bubble and stick it over the existing plastic edges this should ensure no damage to the paper on the card and create an ok di...

Re: High res images of card backs

Defo search out the original card backs. Even if they are a bit damaged, they will without fail always look better than repro in terms of clarity. What I have seen others do is scan the original card and then cover over the damaged part with a fresh printed bit. Mostly around the bubble area obvious...

Re: ESB to RoTJ Transition Cards

Received today. Not great around the base of the bubble and edge. I fear an element of resealing might actually be necessary to display this one. Not that I have any f ing idea how to do that ! Bit disappointed if I am honest. Card back is excellent but it’s still easy to remove the figure :-( F3DB7...

Fabrique A Macau

I have just got this Cardback

I am assuming the Fabrique A Macau means the figure originally on the card was made in Macau ? If that’s right would there be Lando Skiff figures with a Macau COO out there ?
