Re: Pali 65 back Han Hoth

Chris, not unusual for the Palitoy twin stems to have a small crack around the stems. Dependent upon the size of the crack and it's position (likely to get worse) I'd say you could get nearer £100-£110 for him. That load at Gildings were all doing about £160 a piece. I've had one sat on ebay for a f...

Re: Is Kenner worth more than Palitoy?

I think the prices of Kenner stuff has risen a lot over the last couple of years, where as Palitoy was high to start with but hasn't really moved. A lot of the logo Palitoy stuff hasn't changed much in a decade, I watched a few items end on eBay last night that went surprisingly low. There’s a lot ...

Re: Thrawn hunting

Still never seen a Thrawn or even a Stormtrooper in B&M or HB. In fact, the last two B&Ms I’ve been in only sold saw Hotwheels. It must be a southern thing. I’d love to know what the most south a Thrawn has been seen!

Re: Potf2 valuation

On the whole, not much. Problem is although they’re about £4-£7 each, typically, you have to take into account postage at £3, so now need to charge £7-£10 each and that can be a hard sell. Your Freeze Frame Slave Leia is easily £12-15 and your ERG is easily £10-£12. I’ve been selling green carded Sl...

Re: Price sticker removal.....growing in popularity??

Unfortunately the whole thing comes down to maximising value, if an item is worth more without a price sticker then off it comes, very similar to U Grading I guess! ... Or buying the item because you actually get some pleasure out of having it?! Quite agree. Not everyone’s in it for the money...

Re: General Grumbling

*WARNING. THE FLOWING STATEMENT CONTAINS THEMES OF A GRUMBLING NATURE THAT SOME READERS MAY FIND DISTURBING.* Rude and abrupt messages on eBay really piss me off  Since when were common manners deemed unnecessary? I woke up this morning to a message that simply read, "I'll pay £15 for th...

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story Solo SPOILERS First Reactions

My local Vue has more than halved the amount of midnight screenings (from 12 to 5). Is SW fatigue setting in, or are other factors having an impact (fan boycott etc.)? I'm still interested in seeing it (despite the reviews), but I've thought all along that having a film a year was a big mistake. Th...

Re: Watch out: A new eBay scam

It's interesting to see a scam message that starts with "hi mate" instead of "biggest greetings from King Xulu of Nigeria!" which had made spotting scams fairly easy in the past. Absolutely! The author of this is definitely a Brit. A lazy, poorly educated, lowlife shitbag ...

Watch out: A new eBay scam

Well, this is new to me, and I'm more than a little bit well versed in cybercrime. Appreciate this should go in the eBay section but that only attracts a small minority of users of this forum and it's worth bringing to everyone's attention I received two messages about listings this AM from user &qu...

Re: SWFUK Annual Statistics

Really interesting Edd, thanks for posting up. I suspect the slight reduction seen in the last year has actually been seen across all formats, FB included. Even the bigger groups show a far more noticeable reduction in activity than this place does. And regardless of stats, I consider this place Home.

Outstanding purchases guys! I get more of a thrill reading about bargains in unlikely places than I do buying stuff from regular places for myself! 50p A-Wing Pilot is one of the best finds since about 1995, surely?!

Simon seems to be getting a lot more abuse that Richard these days. Very funny. Appreciate the hard word. Thanks for all the feedback, guys, glad to hear that the latest episode is well received. I would, however, like to highlight the above as the most valid feedback to date, thanks DarthBobby, yo...
