Re: Theft at Rancho Obi-Wan

Good to hear he's been rumbled and is looking at jail time. What I don't get is HOW he thought he would get away with it. By the sounds of it he nicked some fairly rare and hard to find items. Those are easy to trace as shown by how quickly they worked out it was him. Fucking dim on his part. He was...

Colin, I removed your phone number from your post because this is a public forum, whilst I trust 90% of the guys on here we have no idea who else is reading and not posting so best not to put any info like phone numbers or addresses (email or actual) in a general post. If you want a valuation for wh...

I think you're right. I had a quick flick through the listing last night, even tried QFT as they often do stuff like that, but no joy. Ahh well.

Re: 40th Anniversary re-release of "A New Hope" UK Cinema

That's a good point. It may actually make it more likely local cinemas decide to show it independently of Disney. They won't be too bothered about Disney's profits and if it's only on for a few week nights it shouldn't detract from the crowds who will be coming at xmas, plus it will probably appeal ...

Re: Ebay search history needed.

Glad you got it sorted and fingers crossed the new battery works or at least recharges. I'd just ignore any auction or listing where the seller is based in China, it's just not worth the risk. They don't seem to know, or care, what copy right laws are out there and chances of getting your money back...

Re: 40th Anniversary re-release of "A New Hope" UK Cinema

What date is the 40th anniversary?
It may be worth keeping an eye on local cinema listings as some may randomly decide to show it in the hope of getting an audience. There is a cinema over here that does exactly that, normally on a week day night, it's never very well advertised though.

I don't like signatures on cards, for me they are a complete no no. I just wouldn't buy a MOC that had been signed.
