Re: Toys R Us - Goodbye

I remember when Woolworths was like that. I'd go in every few days and the shop would be getting smaller and smaller, shelving steadily being taken down in the background. They even sold off the shelving units as well as its stock. And now it's a Poundland. Yup.. they had a sign up stating all fixt...

Re: Toys R Us - Goodbye

Popped into my local one earlier.... a truly sad sight.

Store has literally been cut in half... all remaining stock moved to the front and barriers put up from there to the back.

Re: Build Your Own R2D2

I will add weathering once it's fully complete... but not sure yet how much to add. I've seen others do it straight from the off.. but want to get mine a bit more uniform. Up to issue 64 now which nearly completes the dome... also alot of the lights and other features can now be added. This is curre...

Re: Droid First Aid Advice Needed

Get a paper clip and cut about half an inch off the straight bit...

Drill 2 tiny holes in the broken ends... just big enough for the paper clip wire.

Superglue into both holes... stick wire in, and let set.

Did this on a Biker Scout head back in the day, held up very well.

As always, top service and superb products.

Wishing Jamie all the best, and thanks for all the hard work he's put into GW over the last few years.

Re: Which Air Brush to buy ??

Used to do a bit of airbrushing myself a few years back... originally had one of the cheaper Badger kits, and a tiny compressor.. worked very well, but found the fine adjustments weren't that great. Luckily as I was only painting up Fett lids, they were great for the coverage. Ended up with a Iwata ...

Re: How Many Known Examples Exist?

Here's a true story. Back in early 2000's when Kellerman was writing his bible, despite his extensive research he never identified a Kenner Jedi 65 back Hoth trooper as existing. Odd but true, and his matrix still states this 'fact'. Now i knew i had one, and bizarrely it turned out to be the 'firs...

Re: Latest Acquisitions

I've had two additions this week which, on the face of it, are nothing special. First is a really nice loose Han Bespin which means I've finally completed my loose first 77 run... 24 years after starting it with Han Trench and Leia Poncho! I've a few to upgrade before I decide whether or not to ven...
