Re: Palitoy Employees Vectis Auction - Details Up

I managed to get my first 12 back since I started collecting again. I bagged a Kenner Chewbacca for £160 ,which I did not think was bad even with a split at the bottom of the stem ,which does not bother me. I have always loved this card and have never got over selling an AFA 85 one back in 2006.

Re: My bowl of shame...

I agree I would rather have a figure with nothing than a repo. The repo weapons I have unfortunately obtain have been given to my 4 yr old to use with her beaters. After I have etched an R on to them.

Re: Anyone ever open a MoC ?

I have never opened a moc but I have removed a gun from one which the figure had fallen out of due to a cracked bubble. I have been meaning to send them to UKgrader and have it placed in a case, figure and its card side by side.

Re: Palitoy Employees Vectis Auction - Details Up

The Palitoy catalogues from the early 1980's in the Last Beech auction look great as well.

Re: So how'd Vectis go for everyone this time round?

There was not loads that caught my eye within my budget, but I did pick up a special buy ROTJ AT ST in what looks like an excellent box (only missing the insert) for £40 plus fees. I thought the price was fair.

My MISB Maintenance Engergiser arrived. It was perfect, felt like I had just gone back to 1984 .

Perfect seller once again

Re: Were you happy with vectis`s descriptions...

Hello I spoke to a most helpful gentleman called John who told me that a refund would be sorted out for me. So thanks again for the advice. He also told me that he thinks it is unlikely that there will be anymore star wars items in the next Beech Auction as the items in the last auction he came acro...

Re: Were you happy with vectis`s descriptions...

They came in group sets and the others were better than what I expected. Properly just me being soft and not arguing the toss. But I will be take more time looking at the photos and asking more questions about the lots next time.

Re: Were you happy with vectis`s descriptions...

HI I JUST PICKED UP MY ITEMS FROM LAST WEDNESDAY YESTERDAY AND WAS RATHER DISAPPOINTED WITH THE DESCRIPTION OF MOST OF THE FIGURES. TWO HAD BUBBLE CRACKS WHICH WAS NOT LISTED IN THE DESCRIPTION AND TWO WERE DESCRIBED AS MINT FIGURES BUT ON HAS PAINT LOSS AND THE OTHER FROSTING. SO THEY COULD HAVE BE...

Re: Vectis Auctions 24th & 25th Feb 2016

Hi I managed to get myself a Palitoy Han Hoth and At AT Driver far a fair price (much better then the price I would pay on eBay). I was prepared to pay more as I like the story behind the auction and the fact I will be the first owner of the card.

Re: Anyone after AT-AT Chin Guns?

I was daft enough to buy one in October believing it was original. When put next to an original you could tell. As repos go it is good but was a bit pissed off with the non descript description.
