    Current prices ....

Probably more people has a chance on the Death Star price wise than the VCJ. I would have gone for the death star, out of preference, although I wanted the Ben, but would rather give a seller the money rather than a auction house take their cut. Depending what deal the seller managed to...

    The beach today

I remember it as I was about 6, and we had recently had a school trip to Penscynor wildlife park, it could have been a story we were told so we all weren`t scared, or afraid to go and play. But it was only a couple of feet from me and my friend. (It was before they were protected in 81 )

There was an adder nest behind 2 caravans in our field many, many years ago. I won`t say what the men did...

    The beach today

We used to have a caravan in highfields many years ago. The old post office is now a house, and dogs are only allowed on one side of the beach, and rhere was a lifeguard station on the beach...God It must be 10 years since I was there last 🙄

    Vectis now

I can't say with the new format, but surprised you haven't had an email stating the funds have been taken if it was 2 days ago, as they were always quite quick taking payments. Unless they are having software problems

    Vectis now

The live video feed stopped working about mid day, but eventually they restarted the lot that had issues. I won a Tri logo and am sorry I didn`t bid on a few others now, as I fancy a few things with C&T, so was holding off..

Any snow where you live ?

The new willow series was filmed in a few parts of Merthyr, Morlais Quarry and Ponsticill areas- https://www.visitwales.com/things-do/attractions/tv-and-film-locations/welsh-destinations-starring-new-willow-disney-series. one film crew filmed on the reservoir and lit it up, but I don`t think it...

Any snow where you live ?

The Brecon Beacons, but ashamedly I`m not 100 % certain where. It looks as if it could be Ponsticill area ( where they filmed the Winter Prince and Willow) https://www.storeyarms.com/ the 9th picture looks like the area in the photos, with the stone wall

Any snow where you live ?

A little snow hanging around on the mountains here. Had to arrange a first babysit for the pup, and the dog trainer excelled in photography.

    Vectis today 30/01/2024

I've finally set up my account on their new system. I must admit I preferred the old website - all it needed was extra pictures of the items listed, like C&T do

Vintage investment collectors...30 years from now?

Wasn't the condition on this one not near as good as the 1st one the rep found, in the attic ? Also I would say most things have dropped in value at the moment, due to the economic climate. Loans are not as cheap or a remortgage, and if you have the cash, perhaps you are feeling cautious...

Most arrange a mutually beneficial location these days due to the reason mentioned. However , will this result in collectors stopping collecting, or thinning out collections in the future ? We all like to hope our collections would be a nice inheritance or rainy day money- someday. Would the...

    Capital Gains Tax

That might change soon Edd, if it turns out be the best way to sell items, for both parties involved. Or possibly on the FB sites as cash on collection.

    Capital Gains Tax

If you book a table at an organised selling event, and took cash only payments who would know what you actually sold ? The event organisers are not going to ask for an itemised list for sale, and final sales. So logically these events could be the most beneficial in the future. We have a local...

    Capital Gains Tax

You might be best selling at an organised event Edd if there's a lot. I don't know where you stand taking payment via PayPal f&f,or if they declare the £6k limit to hmrc. Cash is king as they say.
