Darth Vader 1977 Light saber version

Hi,

Could someone throw some light on the version of Darth Vaders 1977 light Saber in the attached images. It has a tiny extra strand on the end of the Saber. I believe this has been re-carded, I purchased this in the early 90's along with a complete set of the first 12 (Except Luke).

I am no expert with this one. But I am sure that some others can help you on the forum but I think they need more pictures of the cardback

Hi, Thank you for your reply, as I believe this Darth vader appears to be in mint condition but the card I am convinced is a repro card. I am intrigued to know what version of Saber this is with the little strand on the end of the tip!

My childhood Vader had that thin extra bit on the sabre as did my Ben Kenobi, I still have the Vader although he's in poor condition these days but I can have a look at his stamp/markings if it helps?

That would just be a factory error if indeed the case. It's not a variant that's for sure.
