Star Wars with a touch of fragrance

Here's an extract from the Marshall Ward mail order catalogue 1978/79 Autumn/Winter.

I've a vague memory of having the R2D2 bubble bath from here and also an R2D2 soap on a rope from somewhere else.

It's remarkable that there seem to be quite a few of the soaps who escaped the bath and survived until today.

I came across a few which were sold on eBay this year. One set of C3PO and R2D2 with boxes sold for just £5 and another sold for £19.

Curiously, the second one was re-listed on eBay by another seller using the same photos and currently live with a buy it now price of £27.99.

I have the two soaps on display in my collection room. There was something about them that screamed out 70's childhood.

I remember the Marshall ward catalogue well
