The AT-AT Driver. As Lars points out above, we never actually get to see an AT-AT Driver's full helmet (ooh er, missus!) from the front in 'The Empire Strikes Back', although we do get several nice shots of the back of them! The best the film can offer is about a third of the front of one of them, but that didn't stop Kenner! Undeterred, they gave us the AT-AT Driver figure, and it's pretty great. True, he has a truly rubbish rifle which he can't hold properly, his head doesn't turn, and he has a rather bulbous sculpted ass which, much like the Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot, somewhat limits his leg movement. BUT, he can sit down! And that's all that's really required of him when you stick him inside the simply fabulous AT-AT Walker Kenner also gifted us with! :-D This figure comes in a whole host of similar, but subtly different paint schemes and grey plastic shades. The vocabulator varies in width, the black circles either side of it can be small or large, as can his eyes (with the most generous paint applications making him look like he's wearing shades :-D), the Imperial insignias on his helmet come in a range of shades of orange and even red, as does the paint used elsewhere on his helmet and back of his torso. Anyway, here are my seven variants. He can be a tough one to find in mint condition, and I'd like to upgrade some of these in time, but for now here they are:
