I sold a complete 96 figure set for £750 in 2008.

Don't know why but I always imagine 2008 as feeling like it was only 2 or 3 years back, I was reading this and thinking wow prices have gone up fast in such a short amount of time, but that is actually a decade ago now.... :? :?:

Time goes too quick

yeah 2004-2008 you could chuck £50 on a yak on ebay and win it no problem

I'm guessing that was prob the same case with other expensive figures too like Luke Stormtrooper and Tri Logo Fett? ( in complete mint condition too )

I wish I could go back

Tri-logo fetts were about £30, Luke stormtrooper £40-60 but you could pick up plenty of just the figure for about £15

barada, imperial gunner and imperial dignitary were going for £17-£21

I don't think that you would get those three for £800 today, if you did I think you would think that you had a result.

They must have been in fantastic condition to realise that price back then?!?

Not playing the "two sheds" game but I got the same price in 1996. I can't remember how many "variants" were in there but I don't think it was anymore than a small/large head han, blond/brown hair Luke FB and maybe Bespin an long with a couple of different Leia Bespins. No blue snag and no VCJ. Sold them to a junk/antique shop in Liverpool who used to sell loose figures at way above market rate. Paid for a road trip to the States :)

These stories really put past and present prices in to perspective.
A US road trip out of plastic figures, who would have thought. :D

Forget the figures, your road trip to the states makes me thing about my twin centre trip to Canada in 99 for £330!! Couldn't get flights for that now

I can't see any rare or expensive parts in that lot. Maybe buyer have asked for better pictures that was only mailed to him and he saw a rare figure
or weapon variant that we can't see :? or maybe it is just again a buyer who paid to much
