I don't think I got an answer though.
There was another site- then that died so Edd made this one.
There were a few at the beginining and Todd.
Most of the major posters are now gone from 2006.
Joe came from TIG.
RS views this place as the 'Bartertown' (Mad Max 3) of the Star Wars collecting community.
edd_jedi said:Thanks for all the kind words! I started the forum in December 2005. I had been a member of RS for a while, but I didn't like how strict it was, or the fact the majority of items for sale and members were in America. I was in the middle of a multimedia degree and had just learned some web design, so this was my first website. Here is the original logo:
I started getting people to come here by putting links to it in my eBay auctions. Through sheer luck and word of mouth, within six months it grew to a reasonable size. Then at the end of 2006, disaster struck! I decided to buy a 'proper' domain name (starwarsforum.co.uk) but while moving the site, managed to corrupt the database and lost EVERYTHING. So the forum had to start from scratch, luckily the 'old' members stuck around and helped it grow to what it is today.
