But why on earth are these even priced up like this?

http://forum.rebelscum.com/t1100441/#post19188473

I bought a minty sealed boxed Rebo Band for £60.00 and a Han Carbonite MOC for £90 - so how on earth can they be worth £142 and £113 without their packaging?

I know it is the old Ugrade debate again but I would love for someone to tell me why they prefer they would rather pay more for these than the original MOC or MIB ?

Oh look at me I just bought a UGrade rebo band that looks like shite & I can't even display it properly plus it's not as cool as having one MIB or Mint Loose. But I don't care because I like to pay way more & waste my money on stupid shite!

That Rebo band looks **** displayed like that. Much prefer mine in its ORIGINAL packaging.

But some mug has bought it and apologies if that mug is on here and you read this, but you are a mug for paying that. But each to their own I suppose, we all have different tastes.

Seems obvious to me. If you get some stranger to tear the packaging apart and then man handle it before sealing it back up in acrylic and bashing it around a bit it's obviously going to cost more than the original :)

That Reebo Band looks absolutely gash displayed like that. Frickin awful.

And on the subject of Ugrades...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LOOSE-VINTAGE-STAR-WARS-JAWA-DARK-BROWN-STITCH-AFA-U90-NO-COO-/251309076470?pt=UK_ToysGames_ActionFigures_ActionFigures_JN&hash=item3a83302ff6

£120 for what is effectively a loose Jawa entombed in a placky box.

Someone is buying this stuff...not sure if some collectors feel paying that much makes them elite or it is a status symbol among collectors. These are guesses as I just can never get my head around it. Paying too much for something that looks like **** never screams..."Ooh he is so wealthy" in my book....more like possibly the person needs some mental health evaluation.
