Following on from Starshipriot's transport 'car boot find' thread, I couldn't resist posting this up....

Came across this on a local market site during the week...

Missing most loose parts, Ramp, radar dish, table, false floor, gunner seat and gun etc....
However it has the radar dish support, removable top cover and all 3, fully working legs.

Now the good news....I paid €8/£6.... :D

Tooth brush is now out for an afternoon of cleaning....
I have a couple of pieces on the way soon to start the rebuilding. Looking forward to the little restoration project. Gonna take my time to do it right...

What a bargain great find, worth it if only for the hours of fun you'll have cleaning it & putting her back to her old self 8)

Absolutely mate, just spent the last couple of hours on the loose canopy, interior and rear...scrubbing up well!

That's brilliant mate - she's beautiful, aged beautifully - looking just like a Falcon should.

Now is your wee quine getting it or are you keeping that bargain for yourself :D

Well, as you can see in the last picture, she already has her figures out playing with it, that's why I cleaned inside first...

Maybe as I start completing it, it will go on display!

I have a chess table (slight sticker lift/crease) but yours if you want it

Thanks for the offer mate, appreciate it! But one of the lads on here has a sales thread with spare falcon parts and that's one of the pieces I just ordered. Don't want to mess him around...

Thanks again though
Jeff

What a great playset that was/is. As a kid I was always bemused by the upside down gunner seat. Could never get a figure in properly. Was there a secret to it?

Good find and good price :)

Few parts arrived in for the Falcon rebuild...Radar dish, table, cockpit canopy with glass, gunner seat support and original card wall inlay :D

Having great fun putting it all together!
