Hi

I am looking to gain some knowledge on Palitoy 41 Backs, I wanted to know if there is a list of the rarest to the most common and a rough guide on purchase price? I believe there are 3 different backs A,B & C is this correct and how do you differentiate them? Do the different backs have much impact on rarity e.g. is a 41 Back Lobot common on an A but rare on a C?

If there is an existing post that adresses my questions could you point me in the right direction and if not could you share your knowledge with me.

Thank you for your time.

Hi there

The best place to look at the card back variations for all Palitoy cards are on the following website.

Jason Smiths website , he is also a member on here.

Cant help with the rarity or value of the 41'bks but do know some are in very short supply therefore rare , some characters are only 1 or 2 known sealed examples.

You do get some reseals also if you cant do with a place holder until you try and track down a fully sealed one.

here is a link to the website and 41 back cards.

Alot of the 12/20 charcters are super rare on 41 back.

Sandpeople only appeared as cardback for the first time last year and enabled me to finish a cardback run of the first 12.

A lot of the other cantina creatures are as rare as that as I still haven't got cardbacks for them. I still need Greedo, Snaggletooth, Walrusman and Hammerhead.

Dengar is on the matrix through word of mouth, still havent see a picture of it.

Matrix is on here:-

There are 3 card types 41a, 41b and 41c. And there are factory code variations 41an and 41bn from the Smile factory for the Kader 41a and 41b variations.

Here's all the cardbacks I have so far, one variation shown for each character:-

Good luck finding the MOCs you are after.

Nowt wrong with a reseal!

Good god, did you take pat in that FB debate about some moron thinking re-seals were as bad as repros?

I despair sometimes I really do.

The ban-hammer happily hit that idiot quite hard.

Saw that and got beyond frustrated by him clearly not knowing what a reseal was, but happy to slam anyone defending them...

Not quite understanding the response to my post tbh. I was just stating reseals are ok, some people aren't prepared to pay the cost of a perfect MOC.

Apoligies if I've mis-interpreted the response.

Absolutely nothing wrong with re-seals mate, perfectly legit.

The idiot on FB was basically saying that there was no place for them and they were effectively as bad as repros and he was derogatory towards anyone who defended them.

I think he was so stupid he didn't quite grasp the difference between repro and re-seal.

He was banned from the group eventually, so every cloud...

Anybody who thinks the shortened term for reproduction is repo needed banning anyway! Anyway, back to the topic...

There isn't a set scale of rarity!

What he said!

41 backs were discussed in the OP's other thread on palitoy. But in short...

No one really knows because no one really focusses on them, unlike 30 backs, which are far easier to rank. I've got quite a few 41s but any attempt i make at a list would be nothing more than specualtion based solely on my owm experiences.

And repro and reseal are worlds apart!! A reseal is at least in a similar ballpark as a moc. A repro is so far away from said ballpark that it can't even see it in the distance...

With binoculars!!

Hi

If the first 20 figures on a 41 back card are super rare are the next 10 figures found on the back of a 30 back card also super rare. I think what I am trying to ask is are the first 20 figures (found on the 12 & 20 backs) the rarest then the next 10 (found on the 30 back card) and then the next 11 figures (found on the 41 back card) or am I just hypothesising. Is it also fair to assume that if I cant find a cardback example on the Mr Palitoy website then that figure is likely to be extremely rare!

Thanks for all your help.

Simplistically you're probably not far off. There will be anomalies though. Yoda is probably tougher than HST for example.
