hi all,

Recently my Dad found his Star Wars figures which has been untouched since his childhood.

I am wondering If I have correctly matched Luke with his correct Blaster. Luke is in mint condition, his limbs are super tight and he is minty.

Also in the box there was a small mini back card, I have seen they do custom ones on eBay of them for all the cards but this is an original mini back card as this was in the box with my Dads childhood Star Wars figures, Am just wondering, where did he get this from?.

Not for Sale.

Thanks in advance,

Joseph.

The blaster is the correct type Joseph but not well up on reproductions so I will let someone else confirm if it's legit.
However the minicard is a reproduction as these were not produced back in the day.

Edit: i'll just correct myself there and call it a custom mini card as these were never produced so cannot be called a reproduction.

hi Paul,

I have been studying the different types of Blasters from Imperial Gunnery website, just want to be 100% that its correct one for the figure.
The Blaster should be 100% original as it was in a box with his other Star Wars figures. There were other figures with the same type of Blaster
in the box as well.

Thanks for clearing up the mini back card. I am not sure where he got the mini back card from.

Thanks for the reply,
Joseph.

It looks like the right mold but it's the wrong colour as it's blue. The only fully accepted correct blaster is the solid black version which would be exactly the same colour as a leia boush rifle, black palace blaster, ackbar staff etc.

Some trilogo MOCs have been found with the blue/black version but this is generally thought to be a weapon error rather than the correct blaster....although I believe this is a contentious issue for some!!

I've taken a photo of all of my blasters along with a few other jet black weapons as a colour match.
The blue/black is a bit of a strain on the eye.
All my original childhood weapons.
Can you pick out the Luke blaster from this photo?

If he blasters are all the same colour and your childhood ones then blue black is fine

FWIW blue black is fine with Luke in Europe as that's what a lot of tri-logos were packed with.

But your photo looks black in any case :)

You wouldn't really know the difference between blue black and true black when on display and if they're childhood weapons then it doesn't really matter, but the true black is worth about 10x as much so if you've got one it's worth knowing.

This pic is from tig and is a close up of the Luke stormie blaster, you can see the mold difference with the rounded end to the barrel so if you have one like this that is the same colour as your boush rifle then that should be the right one.

Thank you all for the replies.

I have taken pictures of all the Blasters that were found from my Dads childhood.

The top one is the current one I have with Luke.
The top three are solid black when a light is shown through them.
The bottom two show blue colour when there's light on them.

If it's any of those I would say that it's the third one down from the top, but I'm not an expert. Compare it to the tig guide and check the colour against other jet black accessories and you can't go wrong.

I have correctly matched Luke with his solid black blaster.

Thanks Droopy, you was right it was the 3rd blaster down.

Thank you all for your help.
