Happy Birthday Star Wars!

Thought the Star Wars 40th Birthday was worth a mention today as it's bought so many of us together. There really isn't another film like it out there that has so many loyal fans and it's helped so many people over the years in all different kinds of ways.

Can't quite get my head around that.
40 years.....bloody hell! :shock:

Seems like only yesterday I watched open-mouthed as that Star Destroyer rumbled into view.
Everything changed from that breathtaking moment.

Astonishing that one film can effect so many peoples lives for that amount of time.
Although my interest in the saga has ebbed and flowed over the years, its always been a constant in my life.

Whatever criticisms you can level at George Lucas (deservedly so, in some cases), I'll always be grateful for his creation of this remarkable film/saga.
