It has just occurred to me that I may have been mispronouncing Stars Wars characters names for almost 40 years.

For example, I still use:

Boba Fett - Bobber Fett (Which I now know is Bow-Ba)
Weequay - Wee-Key
Nien Numb - Nye en numb
Logray - Low Grey
Klaatu - Klaar too

So how do you pronounce their names?

BF - Bober Fett
W - Wee-kway
NN - Nine numb
L - Log-ray
K - Klar-too

I know some of those are almost certainly wrong, but they're what I called them as a kid and just as my 4-LOM will always wear a thick leather trenchcoat and my Zuckuss is a droid, I'll continue to call them as I always have. I'm not saying it's correct but I collect due to the nostalgic connnection with my childhood and don't want to break that connection :)

I can't believe how many people say "Bobba Fett", Han even says "Bober Fett" in Jedi on the sail barge!

Close to what I say but Lo-gray and N-yeen Numb

Klar-too is how it's pronounced in the day the earth stood still - I think :)

I'm all for how you used to pronounce as a child growing up :!:

Boba Fett (Bobba Fett)
Weequay (Weekway)
Nien Numb (Neeyen Numb)
Logray (Loggray)
Klaatu (Klaatoo)

So that finalises that debate!

I don't think I've ever heard it pronounced Bober Fett and will have to listen to Han in Jedi now. As it's written Boba I can't quite see how the 'a' is pronounced as a 'er' and have only ever heard people say B-oh-ba Fett or Bob-a fett, learn something every day!

I think we're talking about the O rather than the A. You know, Robe instead of Rob.

Sorry guys, I don't want to be Mr Picky, but I cringe every time I see or hear the name Nien Numb, spelled with an 'M'. The character is called Nien Nunb, with an 'N':

I generally stick with the way I pronounced it as a kid. So it's:

Bob-a Fett (Bow-ba just sounds American to me, even though it's used in the films);
Wee-kway (though I thought it was supposed to be Wee-key, as in 'door key');
As Snaketibe has said it's 'Nunb' not 'numb' :) As a kid I said 'numb' but since the early 90s it's been 'Neen nun'
Low-grey; and
Klah-too.

Sorry, I can't tell if you're being serious or gently poking fun at me (if so, I can take it!) :-D, but OK, I'll assume you are asking me seriously, so... That's how all of the Vintage cards spell his name, as did and still does Lucasfilm, so yes I am sure

Just to confuse matters however, there is of course another Sullustan Pilot in Return of the Jedi whose name IS Numb; Ten Numb:

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ten_Numb

Ten Numb is of course not the same character as Nien Nunb, and Kenner never made a figure of Ten Numb. It took until Hasbro's modern figure line many years later before that happened :)

So, I have been given **** before for the pronunciation of

Dengar

I always pronounced it den-gar, like den as is hideout and gar as in the fish.

But the others pronounced it more like

Denga

Like jenga and all one syllable rather than my two.

Am I the only one?

Han and Harn is another which I hear differently across Star Wars based podcasts.

I use to also refer to Gamorrean Guard as Gama rian as a child.

For me its Bober, Klat too, Week Way, Nine Nun and low grey
