Net for C3PO removable limbs question

Postby TheJabbaWookie » Wed Oct 04, 2017 7:42 pm

I have 3 x C3PO removable limbs and each one has a slightly different textured net. I’ve looked on TIG but feel it’s difficult to determine with 100% certainty from the info provided.

I have uploaded some photos below. The one on the left is matt-like in appearance. The one on the right is the most glossy like. The one in the middle is in between. They all make a zipping noise when a fingernail is run over it, though the one on the right is less pronounced.

I have checked them over and they all seem to have the same shape and form:

- The armholes appear to be the same size and the edge line is smooth.
- The holes in the cargo net appear to be machine cut and not hand cut and appear to follow the same template
- The heat seals appear to be similar and start and finish in the same place.

Are they all legit? Help appreciated.
Jay

I've never heard of anybody faking these, you can buy originals for a couple of quid and sealed baggie complete figures for under £20 so I don't see how it would be worth anyone's while.

Wanted to check the glossy one wasn’t fake 1 from the TIG website.
http://www.imperialgunnery.com/otheraccessories.htm

Thought it probably wasn’t as they all look identical mould save the texture.

There are two 'main' C3PO RL variants, small vs big 'rivet', straight vs curved 1982, yellow vs brown base plastic. They have different nets, yours look the same as far as the size of the squares- that wasn't very helpful

Great, thanks for everyone’s help. I won a couple of them in a bundle with the seller saying he knew one was ok but the other he wasn’t sure about. I thought it checked out but had to check.

I don't think the tig guide is good enough with info and pictures for the c-3po net.

There is variants of the net and there have been fake nets for years :(
