Original card backs - how do sellers obtain these?

I see there are several sellers on eBay selling original card backs in various conditions.

Does anyone know how they come by such large stocks of these cards?

I assume they are genuine?

Most from buying collections, others from shows such as Farthest From and Echo Live.

You can also find large amounts for sale on Facebook groups and also at auction houses such as Vectis.

I sell batches of them quite often because I'm always upgrading my one-of-each-figure set to an earlier or nicer card. I suspect I'm not alone: they're the sort of thing that are on the move quite a lot.
