Interesting group this one, three Jedi figures, 2 of which I think are very decent sculpts. Throw in a first 12, a first 20 and a Luke Empire figure and you've got yourself a ding dong group.
Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi will try and keep the 100% record of the first 12 figures progressing to the second round this year, so far the first three to have finished their groups have all progressed. Although compared to the others he hasn't been the most popular from that wave, 2014 saw him top his group before being eliminated at the second stage, 2015 he failed to clear the group as he finished behind R5-D4, 2016 saw another group exit as he was once again defeated by Darth Vader and history repeated itself again in 2017 as he finished third in his group missing out on progression at the hands of Luke Bespin and Imperial Gunner.
Death Star Droid, such a lovely figure, qualified from the group stage in 2017 when he finished second to Leia Boushh, but he was heavily beaten 51-15 against Sand People in the second round. Previously he had finished bottom of his group in both 2014 and 2015 and then narrowly missed out in 2016 when he came close to toppling Han Solo in Group V but wasn't close enough.
Luke Hoth had group exits in 2014 and 2017 but manage to progress the other two years. In 2015 he topped a group against Weequay and Anakin before a narrow victory over CCP in second round, his campaign came to an end in the third round when he lost by 20 votes against Yoda. 2016 saw him top his group against Wicket and AT-ST Driver but this time the second round would be his limit as TIE Pilot shot him down by 14 votes.
As for the three Jedi figures, 2014 saw Ackbar lose out in group stage to Zuckuss, Bib Fortuna against Gamorrean Guard and Ree Yees against ERG. In 2015 was no better as they all fell at the group stage again. 2016 it was group exits again for Ackbar and Ree Yees although Bib topped his group seeing off Ugnaught and FX-7, he competed well in the second round but failed by a single vote though as Threepio was victorious against him. 2017 saw bib finish third in his group of 6 just missing out on progression as R5 and Bossk dominated his group, Ackbar also just missed out finishing third to Lando Skiff and Squid Head, whilst Ree Yees finished fifth, but was happy to be above the flailing Black BSG.
