I've just purchased this MOC Nien Nunb that I want to get graded but I don't really want to send it away if it going to grade lower than 80... The only damage I can see is near the punch hole (see pictures). Just wondering if anyone can give me a rough idea of what it might grade with UKG.

Any help appreciated!!!

Thanks, Charles

As grading is subjective no one will be able to give you a definitive answer.
Whatever number the grader awards be it 75/80/85 it will still be the same nice MOC

tbh if you are planning to keep it... save yourself the money and hassle and buy an acrylic case and display that way looks a belter

See the problem is I like to have it graded, I just prefer it but not if the grade is below 80, just annoys me! Don't want to waste time and money on a grade I'm not happy with.

I would suggest putting it in a great GW case, make a label up saying 85 85 90 stick it on the base and enjoy a great condition MOC.

Don't bother grading it if your worried about getting an 80, it's unlikely it would because the card has a tare, which is considered a major floor. That said the rest of the card is pretty nice without any other major floors so you never know.

Personally I don't understand buying an item ungraded and only keeping it depending on the grade it gets after. I buy ungraded and graded, either way I'm happy with my own judgement. Your collecting toys from the 70's and 80's not stickers from last week. :)

Seems strange that you would dislike the figure if it scored a 75 grade but like it if it had an 80. It's the same item! Collect figures, not grades.

Having said that with the hanger crease/tear there's no way that will score more than 80, more likely 75 IMO.

What would you doubt? You bought it so you must like it, or at least have liked it when you bought it?

I do like it!!! Think its a great MOC just not going to bother sending it away if it doesn't get the grade i want as its a fair bit of money. Will still keep it in my collection regardless!!! No offence intended to anyone lmao

Send me the moc and for £20 (which is cheaper than UKG), I'll put it in an acrylic case with whatever grade makes you happy on it.

You're welcome.

Go with GW. You can not beat them.

Exactly the reason why I've just removed 2 MOCs from AFA cases due to low grades (60 & 75). GW cases are much nicer, plus you can open them and handle the figure. :D

Life rarely turns out the way you want it to  If getting a grading below 80 is going to be more disappointing than not grading at all, I would not bother. The tear on the top will be seen as a significant damage in my opinion.
