Kenner’s Star Wars Sweepstakes Leaflet

Postby TheJabbaWookie » Tue Jan 23, 2018 5:12 pm

I have just received a Kenner’s Star Wars Sweepstakes leaflet in a lot and wondered if anyone knew much about it?

I did a little bit of research and found it on the Star Wars Collector’s Archive.
http://theswca.com/index.php?action=dis ... m_id=25034

I saw it comes with the Millennium Falcon, Radio Controlled Jawa Sandcrawler, Imperial Troop Transporter on Matt’s awesome limelight:

And again with the Millennium Falcon and Radio Controlled Jawa Sandcrawler on Emille’s excellent MIB limelight:

I assume that it would come with only the SW boxed items as it is prior to the ESB launch. Does anyone know if it only came with these 3 boxed items or did it come with others?

Cheers
Jay

Hi Jay, I don't know 100% would be the answer! I suspect the Sweepstakes leaflet could have been popped into any wave 2 boxed toys from Kenner (Falcon, Sandcrawler, Creature Cantina, Imp Troop Transporter, Droid Factory, DV TIE Fighter, Land of the jawas and Dewback). Any US toy from 1979.

What about them being stacked on a toy store counter for people to take?
You don't own your toys, you only borrow them until you sell them or die!

Thanks Matt, not sure I’ll ever get my hands on a decent Falcon or Sandcrawler but I might go for the Imp Troop Transporter or Dewback to pair it with. Thank you for your help.

Like Matt I don't think there's a rule as to which Vehicle's boxes they were put in. As he said it was probably time related.
