Sneaky...

Postby jayums » Tue Jun 05, 2018 8:24 pm

So I bought a 85 graded c3p0 a while ago and decided to liberate him from the plastic ...

The figure has very tight limbs ... and no wonder! On close inspection, a previous owner had wound fine black cotton thread around his shoulder to tighten it up.

Have removed the thread, and his arm’s now looser than a wizard’s sleeve.

I wonder how many thousands more have been graded with people using this technic. Another negative to grading.

Surely this is exactly the sort of thing any halfway near competent grader should be on the lookout for? I'm no fan of grading, but if you're going to call yourself a grading company and charge your customers money, at least do your bloody job properly!

I'm really sorry this has happened to you, Jayums :-(

The scandals and the sneakiness in this hobby never ceases to amaze me, just when you think you've seen it all, you see something else.
You don't own your toys, you only borrow them until you sell them or die!
