I think the one specific Hong Kong factory HN (Smile) got a different batch of white ABS plastic - probably the source of the hard torso CCP & R2

Lars, I don’t have or have ever seen the R2 in hand, but here are some photos of my hard torso CCP next to a regular one.

Nice, thanks I think I have some of this hard torso CCP, sounds like I have to many figures since I can't remember it

I remember that I found a milky white r2-d2 many years ago in a lot. I have never understood where it came from and what it was, I have always thought maybe PBP R2-D2 :?

Here he is I have a picture of the bottom from another r2 with the same coo so you can see the difference in the plastic.
