The lanky torture droid today, Lars? OK then!

EV-9D9 was one of those figures I had no idea Kenner even made back in the 80's. I'm afraid I'd stopped collecting the toys when Jedi came out as I thought I was too old for them when I reached the lofty age of eleven! I did still keep an eye on the toys that hit the shelves for a while, and remember being amazed at seeing an Imperial Shuttle for sale in Debenhams late in the run. However I never saw any of the last 17 during their release, and in fact it wasn't until Sansweet published his brilliant 'Star Wars: From Concept to Screen to Collectible' book that I finally saw the things I had missed for the first time. One of those was EV-9D9, and I loved him! He looked like he should and was different from all the other droids, and so when I started collecting again a short while later, he was high on my target list!

When I finally got one, I was delighted to find he had a opening mouth mechanism, which worked really well! :D I was rather less impressed with his arms which broke off if you so much as thought about looking at them!

Oh well, you can't have everything!

Here's mine, and for those of you that have never seen one, look closely at the Tri-Logo MOC's unique and utterly baffling bubble!

Jay, sorry to break it to ya, but it's not real ;-)

However, you are of course quite right, and I stand corrected. I did know that, but the fact had temporarily slipped my mind  . I will do penance by continuing to regularly post in the Toy of the Week threads, and can only hope others do likewise.

Some nice MOCs there Jeremy, particularly like the TL.
Nice loose collection Lars, along with cardback and coin.
This is one that I can contribute to, so here's mine.

Thanks, these are so difficult to pick up clear, yours is far better than most.

Well spotted Lars, I hadn't see that.
Just done a quick search and found that she comes packed either way.
I'm surprised that there is enough room in the bubble for the head to point forward!

Your Welcome, I think it is a damage in my brain that I got after I started to collect variants  so now I spot things like that
Could be interesting to know which one is more common than the other :? or if it was just a worker who wanted to have fun and changed how it was
normally packed on one or a few moc
