Wow indeed.
That is stunning.

Apparently, the broker is open to payment plans.
Think I can scrape up a £1 a week.

That's great and all, but what about those who only collect 95 grades.

Apparently there is a $150k offer, part cash part trade, already but the seller want a straight cash deal.

This is a ridiculous sum of money for what is not even that rare an item imo but sadly I can only see this type of thing going higher and higher as dicks are stretched further and further in the measuring contest that is grade chasing

Nuts. The things aren't even rare, aren't there like 50 of them? And please don't say it's the only AFA 90 or you'll get a punch in the nose

Ridiculous sum of money, some crack head will buy it.

It is the only AFA 90 example known....

Crazy ****. Not mega rare but very sought after being Fett and with a withdrawn feature that never went to market. I do like this figure. In many ways the holy grail for loose collectors. I saw an ungraded one go on TV several years ago for $17k, how can it go from 17k to 150k?? Daft

In the words of one of the dragons den investors, It's not for me.......I'm out

This just sparks questions...
What would be the eBay fees be on that?
Why sell on eBay in the first place, or is it listed elsewhere?
Why does someone need to go through a broker for this type of item?
I'm sure there are others, but they will do for now!

If the broker has people queuing up to deal with him and can (allegedly) get better AFA grades then it's deemed worth it. The deal is unlikely to be completed on eBay imo.

Ahh. Good old zach tann.

Don't understand the business model but it seems to work.

Whoever buys this will probably name their children after him in gratitude.

I believe they cap selling fees on ebay at £250, so it would be £250. Not bad really! :)

Ah, I didn't know that, makes more sense what with eBay sellers protection.
I suspect Carl is correct and the deal, if done, will be a private afair.
Time will tell.

Well I suppose when you list something for 185k, you can then offer a collector 'a really good deal' at 100k, making it look like they're saving a huge 85k, but in reality the dealer wins!

I don't get this either. It's 2018, sell it yourself. I can kind of understand why people pay a premium for buying from people like Tom Derby, who have incredible knowledge which adds credibility to pieces when they authenticate them. These 'brokers' are just parasites who contribute nothing.

The only good reason I can think of why someone would choose a broker is because of the amount of money involved, all of the liability is passed onto the broker if anything goes wrong with the sale afterwards. If it was me myself selling this on ebay i'd be scared to death of getting scammed, having the item go 'missing' or the buyer doing a chargeback or something a few months later.

But even then i'd just choose to put it through a proper auction house instead of going to a broker.

Following this on the 12 Back group, sounds like a number of people think $185K is a reasonable amount for this one in this condition.

And to think you could of bought one for a tenth of the price 10 years ago. That's one heck of a rate of interest return. One day we might all be sayin*remember when you could get one of those for $185K.
