Klaatu Figure COO reference guide:

IMG_20160202_174123.jpg

Time for a new little Reference guide :D
One of the more underrated figures in my opinion, Great sculpt and detailing. A huge number of variants available due to paint application, limb colours etc.

First appearing on the ROTJ 65 Back, both Kenner and Palitoy

Suffice to say, I have had a few Klaatu MOC previously. Here's a shot of the Emperor Offer set i had before, including two Double stem blisters.

Here's a Graded Palitoy card I had as well...

Wolffs Guide:

Here's Wolffs excellent photo guide...I will try and document each of the five COO markings shown here. However, I've already noticed a difference on one of the figures i currently have in hand (Discussed below)
Please check out Wolffs excellent Variant Villain site for all his superb work..

Now onto the loose COO figure variants...I currently have two figures to document. A bit battered due to being played with on a daily basis :D

Leg markings

As discussed above, I have compared the leg markings to the five shown on Wolffs guide. This H.K figure appeared to have the same LFL markings as #1 on the guide. The placement of the '3' lower down is identical.

However, on closer inspection it had the same H.K markings as #2 on the guide. Notice the larger gap between the 'K' and the final dot.

H.K. COO figure

IMG_20160202_183328.jpg

Not sure what this figure is classed as. Going with H.K. as very feint markings can be seen. LFL 83 on left leg, H.K. can be made out on right leg.
IMG_20160202_183341.jpg

The H.K stamping appears to match #4 on Wolffs guide. However, the LFL markings appear to be slightly different again? Notice the number '3' again and also the placement of the first "L":

Head paint/Mould application:

The Klaatu Figure came with either a Green plastic moulded head with Grey paint application or Grey plastic head mould with green paint application. This allows for a number of Variants when COO are added to the mix.

Update with pictures on Page 2

Accessories:

Klaatu Figure came with vibro staff accessory.

There are a number of variants even with the Vibro weapon. Again, Wolff has done fantastic work in relation to this...

Klaatu Skirt:

There are again, a number of different skirts that come with this figure. Here's a shot of the current moc figure alongside the mint figure i owned previous. Noticeable difference in the colour and texture of the skirts. I will try and document more variants as the guide progresses. Lili Ledy skirt is quite different again!

Tunic Colour :

Both figures come with a dark colour Tunic. I believe that the No COO figure comes with a slightly lighter brown Tunic. I will document this once I have the figure in hand.

Limb colours:

Both of the current figures have all 4 Grey limbs. This figure comes with both Grey and Tan limbs and can be found with a mixture of both.

Tan Limbs variant:

Delighted to be able to document this variant so soon in the guide. As discussed before, this figure was produced with Grey and Tan limbs. also available with a mixture of both. However, the 4 Tan Limbs variant is harder to find I believe.
IMG_20160204_191119.jpg

Comes with a H.K. marking.
IMG_20160204_191406.jpg

As previously mentioned the figure also has a number of paint applications available on the head sculpts. The tan limbs figure comes with the Green head sculpt with Grey spray ops...As can be seen here, the Grey paint application has worn off on the back of the head. The Tan Limbs variant also has a noticeably different face sculpt, coming in a more 'Teal Green' colour:
