Rebel Commando COO Reference Guide:
IMG_20160221_150227.jpg

One of my favourite figures from the entire Star Wars line. If not my favourite childhood figure full stop. Had hours of fun playing with this particular figure. Vivid memories of receiving him as a child. I've actually decided to start a focus and Army building collection with this character in the last day or so....

First appearing on the ROTJ 65 Back

Here's the 79 back Emperor offer card I currently have...

This particular figure comes with a number of sculpt and paint application differences.
Available in a few COO variants.

The only major difference I have noticed between any of the Hong Kong COO figures is the face paint application. There are two noticeable different applications. One Flesh face (Below Left) and a lighter Pale face (Below right). There is no difference between the COO markings.
Hereis a couple of pictures of the two variants side by side.

No COO figure :

Next up is the No COO figure variant. As suggested, No COO leg markings.

Similar to the Hong Kong COO figure, the only noticeable difference between the variants of the No COO figure is in the Face paint application. I have found two different applications, a flesh colour figure (Below left) and a slightly Orange paint application.. (Below right)
I have 3 of the Orange paint applications and all 3 have very worn paint. I don't know if this is a common trait with that variant?

All No COO figures have similar leg markings

This is the most interesting of the Rebel commando figure variants. Comes with a painted face (Below right) and a moulded head variant... (Below left)

Even within the moulded head China COO figures there is differences between the paint application...the figure has a reddish eyes and a darker brown application.

There is also a distinctive difference between the painted face figure on the right below, and the moulded head figure on the left, when viewed from the rear.
Painted face figure has a Grey helmet trim as opposed to Beige on the moulded head figure

All 3 variants come with the same COO leg markings

Accessories:

Rebel Commando figure came with a blaster rifle accessory. There are a number of different variants of this as well. I have documented two below and will update the guide as I acquire more.
Here's a picture of the standard accessory

Back Pack Sculpt and Colour :

There are a number of differences between the three variants available.
There is a Light Brown, Brown and Dark Brown back pack available. The last two variants are found exclusively on the China COO figure.

Here's a picture showing the two China coo variants

There is also a distinctive difference between the back pack straps on the China COO figure and the No COO and Hong Kong figures. The China COO figure only has 3 Lines at the front as opposed to 4 on the other variants

There are also a number of other differences between the China COO back pack and the other variant such as the strap on the top and the row of dots as opposed to a line.

Vest Neckline :

The China COO figure has a different Vest neckline when compared to the Hong Kong COO and No COO figures. The neckline has a distinctive crease to the front...it appears on both moulded and painted face China figures.

China COO figure here in the middle.
