I already posted this. If you haven't been before it's better than you probably imagine. Last year i came back from Elstree on the Sunday and went to this on the Monday. What a top weekend :D

The only downside to this event is that it really is a 'family fun day'. Last year i went at lunch time and couldn't move for kids in prams. My advice is to go early. There were some good trader stalls selling a few decent vintage items, most of the stuff is newer though.

If you are into signings there are always some top notch appearances. There are Stormtroopers galore. Fan made props. Loads really.

Think JB. The fett is there also the green cross code man himself (health allowing). I have been to the last three and they are getting better by the year
I agree there are a lot of kids but that aside there are some cracking displays good costumes and I think a branch of 501 st were there last year doin the charity thing. Belting storm troopers tie fighter pilots and a good Darth Vader last time I went
Bought a couple of good items last year
It's worth the visit but not if its a long way to travel good for the North West. But wouldn't travel up from London

I think there is some sort of lunch with the SW stars but will try and find out some more if I can as I live locally to the ground ( I am however a staunch MU fan )

I don't condone violence of any kind and have no beef with any other fan it's a free world and saddening to advocate violence toward any person whatever their belief or whatever team they support
The fun day at BFC is exactly that and great for families fans and collectors alike I have never witnessed any issues on the times I have attended and seems a little childish to put people off who might then miss a great SW experience

We specialise in 'childish' on here...

I don't think it put anyone off though, hope everyone has a good day with no enforced chip shop visits

Yeah Michael it takes a little getting used to on here about how things go down. Join in the PL thread in the off topic section to discuss football if you want. We don't all hate Manure

No worries

I'll be more careful in future!

Not a fan of twitter Facebook social media basically because I'm an old git !
Victor Meldrew is seriously a role model for me
BUT I am an avid SW fan ever since watching ROTJ on VHS when released on rental
No turning back!

What was that? Someone got punched at the Star Wars Day? Was someone queuing for Kenny Baker in front of David Prowse? He got a bit pissed off with that at Elstree

Can i just state that no one got punched at a Star Wars day! What happened with me was way back in time and it was a Burnley VS Grimsby football game. There were, however, ewoks tussling in the away end, Stormies marching around like stewards as if they owned the place and when the home fans sang " whos the bastard in the black? " well they all got choked out.
