Ok, not a date as such yet, but welcome folk to feedback from any of the events what they liked, what they didn't, what they'd love to see etc.

For example there are a couple of unique items which are mementos of the day, flocked figures, free trading cards, are people bothered?

Do folk like displays or demonstrations? (irrespective of content?)

Are presentations too long/ too many?

More dealers?

More guests?

More of a weekender experience, ie travel down Saturday, relax from the journey, meet up with folk, enjoy meal, possibly a planned activity etc.

For those yet to come, what would tip you over the edge?

There are always plans and plates spinning, probably a lot more than folk realise, and there is a physical limit to what can do either due to cost or available resource (remember its gotta come from somewhere and it's not dealers or entry fees ;) ), but I'm always open to feedback good or bad.

Bring it!
Dave.

Dave,

It all seems to be going in the right direction.

One thing I would like to see is cast and crew from the film that would do a signing.

I think you should be really proud of your Kevin Costner Field of Dreams day.

Liked the raffle this time.

Do like the flocked figures but prob wouldn't pay out for them. Sorry. Maybe a Yoda though!!

Like the cards, keep them going.

Idea of cast and crew, signings is a good one, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford at the next one please.

Loved coming down on the Saturday this time, having the meal and a few drinks, hopefully do that again next time.

I like the presentations. Interesting and am always up for hearing different aspects of the hobby I don't know much about.

Keep up the good work Dave.

Oh and like Iain an Jamie said, cake is good too!!!

Haven't been down on the Saturday more as due to cost so a group thing that would maybe work out cheaper sounds good... And cake is always good!

Cut the music when the presentations are going on.

Other than that all as above. Although I do like raffles. Perhaps buying tickets to win some goodies :D

Not sure about signings. I would be concerned about this show becoming a victim of its own success. The burnley event has gone that way where its so popular you can't move for prams and millions of kids.

FF4 was up there with elstree empire in that it seems to cater for hardcore SW fans. Keep it like that rather than having people dressed as stormtroopers everywhere. That stuff is cool but has its place.

More talks. Can't get enough info.

Maybe a regular curry night on the Saturday

Bacon butties and cakes also sounds good :)

What a great weekend :D

Love the cards.

Love the talks (but the background radio though???)

Love the raffle (more food options would be good so I don't miss winning it while I am at the cafe again  )

Bacon rolls and cake?

Loved the displays from the other FF's

I am with Chris on the flocked figures, I like 'em but would only splash out on a Wally

Not bothered about Saturday as its a day of work for me.

Is there room for anything more?

Cool comments guys, thanks.

The food/ drink the time could not be helped. The baker was due but failed to turn up, so did the best we could when realised at around 10.00am he wasn't going to make it. I caught up with him and sadly one of the bakers was sick Sunday, most of their business is wholesale and at this time of year he needed everyone on that with a man down, so sadly we got the brunt, but for future shows that should be good.

The cast and crew is worth thinking about, but does that take away the focus on toys? Also costs will go up considerably (ie what dealers and entrants pay) as you will cover travel, accommodation, food, potential appearance fees (few folk are going to get out of bed for a show with 100 people).
What about those connected to toy collecting? Ie previously Gus & Duncan, but others within an known area, like Lee for 12", Chris for 3packs etc?

Background audio while presentations are on is a fair point, I left that on so there was background hub for the speakers which helps make it less intimidating when you have 20 strange blank silent faces staring at you ;)

Another option suggested on the day was an early bird entry, which you used to see at a lot of shows.

Half tables seemed to work, cramming more folk in.

Anyone miss the User Contributed Display this time?

Keep them coming :)

Ok- good info.

I have to be honest- I do like the opportunity to speak to Gus and Duncan, Jason Joiner. Maybe we can swap cast and crew for collecting champs.

Yeh stick with the collectors theme. Deffo have specialists talking about their particular field. Tales from long time collectors are fascinating to me. Maybe something more from jj at the next one if he would oblige 8)

Only ever made one of these, loved it but......

I live 260+ miles away so its a right old trek + my job works it rota 6 weeks in advance as we work 24/7 365 days a year.

If i knew with plenty of time to spare, i can arrange my off duty around this and make a full weekend of it

So in conclusion, just need a good heads up on the next date and i can join the beer drinking on the saturday

Do you hear that Dave? As much notice as possible please as in 4-6 months would be a big improvement. I have 3 weekends in March gone and 1 in April already. Unless you're thinking 2015 which is cool.
