Sry if it came across as me pissing on your bonfire just that I dunno how far you are travelling and was trying to warn you but please post up what you thoughts are after you have been.if there is a more sci fi I'd love to start goin again even though I've sold up my collection.StarWarsFan said:Jaguar180180 said:Hi ya I'm from Donny and used to go a lot around 20 years ago there was a lot of sci fi stuff prob half and half with model trains.now well it's not worth it its just trains and model cars and trucks unless you are nearby and after killing a few hours I wouldn't bother.
Fair enough, but personally have always done well there.
I'm exactly the same - I used to go a lot in the late 90s/early 2000s and it was amazing. I went again a couple of years ago after a 15 year break and it was really, really disappointing - I think there was one stall selling predominantly SW, with half a dozen others with bits and bats. We'll be down in Finningley that day though so we'll give it a go - I'll be interested to see if it's picked up a bit.Jaguar180180 said:Hi ya I'm from Donny and used to go a lot around 20 years ago there was a lot of sci fi stuff prob half and half with model trains.now well it's not worth it its just trains and model cars and trucks unless you are nearby and after killing a few hours I wouldn't bother.

Me too, and I've found it great for SW bargains; my Acamas masks and HC stationary sets came from there. A lack of vintage has its advantages. Its good for action man which is why I always go but I'd agree its not worth traveling far just for the Star Wars.
spoons said:Definitely assuming the snow doesn't get bad. I'll be wearing a vintage diecast badge and probably have a couple of my kids in tow.
