Thought i'd kick of the autograph fun with a couple of pics of mine
Top row, peter mayhew, warwick davis, jeremy bulloch,
top middle, kenny baker, garrick hagon, kenny again
middle, a hero of mine Stuart freeborn, and another next to that frank oz
bottom row, dave prowse with james earl jones, brian muir (vader helmet sculptor as well as loads more) and john mollo, vader costume designer

next pic is mark hamill i think this was a qvc buy originally

Unfortunately, no provenance for the Purvis signature.

A guy on RS valued it at around £500 :shock: , without provenance.
Not sure how accurate that is.

Which guy was that? There are maybe 3-4 guys on there who's opinion i would trust. Purvis SW items are rare as rocking horse shite, and that sig looks good to me.

It was Bendu.

Apparently, this signature differs from his early examples. Specifically the 'J'.
Because of this, he had doubts to its authenticity, although he had seen similar examples.

Bit of a bummer, really.
I have no doubt that it is authentic, but without provenance it's gonna be hard to prove.

I was thinking of getting it certified, but have no idea of the process/costs.

Yep,thought so-Pete knows his stuff so its good you heard that from him

id lean towards real, but ive just looked at a few real ones and i can see where Pete is coming from.

It does seem odd he would alter his signature in his later years, so I can fully understand the doubts.

This ANH poster is the only example I can find online with a similar 'J' (just above the SW logo).
