Hi about 10 years ago I won this flash gun in the blaster builder club yearly build competition.
Its a heiland synchronar 3 cell flash gun with the shroud and clamp.
It's been sitting in a draw since. I've decided to sell it to fund my black series collection.
I don't really know what it's worth.
I would like to add some photos but I don't know how.... Lol.

This appears to be very similar in design to the Microflash which was used as the basis for Darth Vader's lightsabre. I do not know the ins and outs of which parts the Microflash and the Heiland shared but the similarities are there for anyone to see. There are, however, differences, too.

I know the Mircroflash unit is worth around £1,000 in it's unaltered form. This Heiland unit, though, appears to be around $100 looking at eBay listings:

*Edit*
And ****ety **** that annoys me. I had bid on this lot which appeared at Astons at the end of November last year. It hammered at £650 which after costs came in around £900. The camera and associated bits and pieces in the lot is worth about £300-£400:

original.jpg

It was described as:

"MPP Micropress 5x4 Press Camera Outfit with Rare Microflash. Comprising MPP body, focal plane shutter slow (condition 6F) with Schenider Xenar 135mm f4.7 lens in Syncro-Compur shutter, speed slow from 1/60th; MPP 120 roll film back; uncommon MPP 'Star Wars light sabre" style Microflash unit; film pack holder; Polaroid back; 9 DDS (various conditions); wire finder; instruction book; Gossen LunaSix meter etc. All in fitted outfit case".

Having checked eBay at the time I decided the flash unit was worth around £1,000 (as mentioned). Having just checked eBay again, I see the same flash unit (looking at one or two identifying marks) sold two weeks after the auction for £1,500:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-MPP-Microflash-Flash-Star-Wars-Darth-Vader-Lightsaber-Last-Jedi-/222758034922?hash=item33dd69ddea%3Ag%3AswIAAOSw0A9aNOY-&nma=true&si=NnZl5dD1Eb2u4WT7%252FV49FySDyZk%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I shouldn't have been so sensible. The annoying thing was it was just me vs. the winning bidder from £150 up to £650.

And having checked his other sold listings it absolutely is the same flash unit as here is the camera from the lot. Not bad. Looks like the seller made £800 or so on the lot:

Etched on the front is "fivelux" and stamped at the bottom is "made in Germany".
