I've watched the Empire Strikes Back many times but I always wondered...in the final scene when Luke lets go of the gantry and falls, did he use the force somehow to guide himself into that pipe he slides down or did he actually get sucked into it?

The ice cream machine guy on Bespin used a Vax that he had on a trial run :)

I always assumed it was luck/air pressure that put him in there.

There's a scene in the script (not sure if they filmed it) where the wind actually blows him back up to the platform at some point so it's safe to say there was a fair bit of wind in that shaft.

I figured he manipulated his fall through the force, but that it was a bit of luck, too, as he hadn't finished his training, yet. I still remember being happy he didn't die, however he did it :D

His telepathic plea for help while dangling from yon aerial is possibly my favourite Star Wars moment. The magic, the sunset, the Falcon doing a u-turn, the music.

Yeh that was great but I hate that added stupid scream in the original Special Edition when Luke was falling :x
