50 Vintage Figures...where to start?

Hi,

I've posted about a vinyl jawa elsewhere and got some great responses - thanks. I have around 50 figures from childhood that I'd like to grade and then ultimately sell - maybe 3-5 at a time. I was wondering if anyone would like to have a look at the attached picture of my collection and give their views on what they would look to grade and sell (if any!) first?

any advice greatly appreciated - especially what weapons go with what figures, its been a long time!

Thanks

You only want to send figures off for grading if they are in pretty much mint condition with all their original weapons and accessories, the lowest overall grade you would probably want on a figure is 80%, anything lower than that isn't really worth it. Remember it's going to cost you a minimum of £14.00 per figure, and if they are in a poorer condition it doesn't add up to getting it done. You would be better off in my opinion just selling them as loose figures. :)

I agree, the only thing I could add to this is that If you were to send any to be graded remember that the figures paint needs to be mint / very good as well as the limbs needs to be stiff / very good to achieve a high grade.

Don't bother grading these, it's not worth it.

Are you sure you want to sell? These are your childhood figures and you only get them once. For the few hundred pounds you'll get it will never make up for having these toys IMO, most of us here would give our right arm for our original toys.

That said, Yoda is £45 complete, R5 is about £30, the Luke Jedi could be £65-75 with the snap cape. Nice to see the weapons included and this will mena you'll get a good price.

Yes I hear what you're saying, thanks for your advice. New baby on the way though so sadly needs must... plus hopefully they'll go to someone who won't just put them in a shoe box in the loft for another 30 odd years...

Like others have said not worth getting the majority graded and imo could loose out after paying grading fees

Turn around times on grading can be long so if you're in a hurry to sell that's something else to consider. As mentioned only Luke Jedi, R5 and possibly Yoda are worth grading. Personally I wouldn't bother. You won't get £45 for Yoda as he's missing cane; £25 for R5 but I'd say higher for Luke Jedi with Molded face and snap cape IMO.
