Hi there. Can someone give me a heads up in terms of the value of my PBP Snowtrooper. Photos attached. It has a double scar obscuring the COO and comes with the original rifle and cape which feels flimsier than the standard capes and has round holes instead of the usual slits.

Many thanks.

No idea on valuation but does the skirt do the "Zipping" sound when you run your fingernails across it ? Because I have 1 on a PBP figure that doesn't do the zipping.

Hi. No the skirt doesn't zip on either side.

I'm no expert on loose figures, and certainly not "variants", but I was thinking around £120 - £150?

I'd think over £100 with the Action Force gun. Not sure with the regular weapon...

The condition REALLY helps with this example.

I think a valuation of £30-£35 for a figure and cape in this condition would be about right. Just one thing it's hards to tell from the photo but does the skirt have the step / cut on the edge above the hole (like the one attached)?

Hi, the skirt didn't have that step you point out. I ended up selling this one on eBay and got £46 for it. It's so difficult to gauge value isn't it. Need to start thinking about what I'm going to replace him with now...

Hi all. Is there anyone who can help? I sold this figure on eBay and used the photos above. The seller asked me to confirm that the cape was authentic which I did as this was a figure I had as a child and came straight from the packaging. Since receiving the figure, the seller has requested a return because they believe the cape to be a fake because it doesn't make a zipping noise ( which my kenner ones do) and he states it is asymmetrical. I've agreed to the return (but stand by my statement the cape is original). Can you recommend anyone who can confirm that this is an original cape for me? Many thanks.

Would a PBP cape have the zipping sound like a Kenner one? I thought the Euro versions, PBP, POCH, Tri-Logo were smooth, if it is a childhood figure it can't be anything but genuine.

It is a childhood toy so 100% genuine but it's proving that. I've seen from this forum and rebelscum that their has been discussion over which capes 'zip and which don't. My example shows that this figure's cape doesn't. I guess I don't like the suggestion that I'm being dishonest. Its the first time ive sold anything on ebay and depending on how this is resolved its potentially my last. Sorry, beginning to have a winge so I'll stop myself now :|

I have some in my collection that zip and others don't so I'd be interested to see more opinions on this, the same goes for the white Leia cape.

The vinyl skirt for the PBP Hoth Stormtrooper has large holes and does not zip. This is because it does not have the typical cross hatch pattern found on most typical Kenner capes.

I have attached a photo of a double page spread from the Javier Ruilopez Made in Spain book which features a pic of the cape and also a description of the cape, referencing the lack of cross hatch pattern. It does not mention that it does not zip but if you collect Spanish PBP figures it is a well known fact that it should not zip.

The PBP figure while not rare, is harder to come by than the normal Kenner variant, and is therefore worth more money.

Thank you for that. I suspect I have a buyer who has heard of pbp but doesn't know much about it...a bit like me until I started getting advice from this forum. I just want my figure back now, whilst not a fan of grading (I feel so sad seeing those figures trapped in a box) I can see how useful they are in that once graded there's not much room for arguing something's not original. Thinking long and hard about grading my R2 now that im selling. :?

There's plenty of examples out there with reproductions graded along with other errors. Everyone makes mistakes, even the supposed experts
