Hi guys,

As some of you know from my previous posts, I've had a journey with my childhood VCJ matching it with correct figure, proper blaster etc. Well I'm pleased to say that its now just been cleaned and graded by UKG at 80% and I have a nice certificate of authenticity from them as well. Thanks to everyone who offered their advice.

It really looks great but needs must and sadly I have to sell.

I had a few offers but to be fair to everyone I'm going to list on Ebay with a Buy it now with best offer first and then if it doesn't sell I'll put it in as an auction.

Question is - how much shall I put it on for?

A UKG 80 one sold recently for the £800 mark, not sure of the exact amount but close to that, you could search sold listings on eBay and it should bring it up

I was going to say that the last one that was a UKG 80 went for £1149 recently so go with a BIN of £1200-£1300 but I can see that you've already listed yours for £1650.

I'm not sure you'll get that close to that amount as it's the AFA 80 grades that only seem to sell for close to this at times but it's up to you to decide what to accept and you never know. Those other UKG 80's on eBay for £2.5K don't really have a chance at that price, it's just too high for an 80, especially being UK graded.

Thanks for the replies. I've put it up at 1650 but I'm expecting some more realistic offers than the buy it now price.

If I don't get any interest in the next few days I'll put it to auction.

I dont get it. This is not an original VCJ. Is it?

As I understand it is a cloth Jawa with an original vinyl cape. It might be the same figure, but it started out as a cloth Jawa....right!? :?:

That might be technically true, but as 99% of the value is the cape, it doesn't matter that much. It's an interesting point though - I once had a run in with a buyer because he 'found out' a games console I sold was not the original one that came with the box (the original box was torn so I sourced a better one.) There was no serial number or anything to match a specific console to a box, so it's funny how some people get hung up on things that are literally impossible to tell or prove.
